The present invention relates to a watch time-setting mechanism, by pulling the winding stem, comprising a zipper, a sliding pinion controlled by a lever engaged with the zipper and a second rocker on which are pivoted at least two references; this mechanism is characterized by the fact that the pull tab and the first lever are shaped and arranged such that, during the engagement of one of the connections with a mobile of the gear train that it controls, the sliding pinion is released from the teeth of its return.
The drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention applied to an alarm watch.
Fig. 1 is a plan view of this embodiment in the position for setting the alarm time.
Fig. 2 is a plan view thereof in another position of the members.
Fig. 3 is a plan view thereof, in the position for setting the time of the watch.
In fig. 1, the pull-tab 1 is in the stop position A for setting the alarm time. It maintains the sliding pinion rocker 2 in a position such that the sliding pinion 3 grained with its return 4. The return lever 5 carries the two references 6 and 9. The return 6 meshes under the influence of the spring 7 with the mobile 8 of the alarm clock setting gear train.
In fig. - 2, the zipper 1 is located momentarily between the stop positions A for setting the alarm clock and B for setting the time for the watch. The pull tab 1 has a notch 10 into which the nose of the sliding pinion lever 2 enters under the influence of the spring 11 and releases the sliding pinion 3 from its return 4.
In another embodiment, not shown, the notch could be made in the rocker and the control spout appear to stick to the pull tab. The notches or spouts could also be replaced by studs.
The lever 12, under the influence of the pull tab 1, moves the return latch 5. The return 9 engages with the mobile 13 of the gear train for setting the time of the watch. However, it does not cause untimely displacement of the hour and minute hands, because the sliding pinion 3 is out of engagement at this time, and the possible angular movement can be transmitted to the released reference 6.
In fig. 3, the zipper is in the stop position B for setting the time of the watch. The rocker 2 has come out of the notch 10 of the zipper 1. The sliding pinion 3 meshes again with its return 4. The return 9 takes its final position of gear with the mobile 13.
