Abrollvorrichtung für Klebebandrollen.
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Abrollvorrichtung für Klebebandrollen und ist insbesondere dazu bestimmt, die bekannten Selbstklebebänder auf die zu beklebende Unterlage aufzubringen und in der gewünschten Lange von der Vorratsrolle abzutrennen.
Vorrichtungen dieser Art sind vielfach bekanntgeworden ; meist handelt es sich-dabei, wie auch vorliegendenfalls, um Abrollvorrielltun- gen mit einem die Bandrolle aufnehmenden Gehäuse, das einen Gehäusefortsatz aufweist, in welchem ein zur Anpressung des Bandes auf die zu beklebende Unterlage dienendes Anpressorgan sowie ein Trennmesser so untergebracht sind, dass letzteres durch Kippen des Gehäuses um den genannten Fortsatz wirksam gemacht werden kann.
Derartige und sonst noch bekanntgewor- dene Klebebandabroll-und-abtrennvorrich- tungen haben den Naehteil, das Klebeband nicht in einem Zuge, das heisst ohne irgendwelche zusätzliche Randgriffe auf dem zu beklebenden Material aufgebracht werden kann. Am Anfang und Ende der Klebstelle bleibt jeweils ein Bandstück von einigen Milli- meter Lange frei, das erst von lIand aus an die Unterlage angepresst werden muss.
Diese Apparate erfordern somit die Durchführung von zwei aufeinanderfolgenden Operationen, indem man zuerst das Band mittels der Vorrichtung aufklebt und dann die Bandenden niederdrückt. Vorriclltungen dieser Art sind somit nicht für einhändige Bedienung geeig- net. Ein weiterer Nachteil bekannter Vorrich- tungen besteht darin, dass das Abtrennen des Bandes durch eine in der Klebeebene senkrecht zur Abrollvorrichtung geführte Drehbewegung erfolgt, was bei dünnen zu beklebenden Papieren ein Knittern oder Einreissen derselben zur Folge hat.
Die Erfindung vermeidet diese Mängel dadurch, dass zwischen dem Trennmesser und dem Anpressorgan ein zu letzterem weisender erster Hilfsanpressteil angeordnet ist und dass der das Anpressorgan aufnehmende Gehäusefortsatz an seiner Aussenseite eine als zweiter Hilfsanpressteil dienende Ausbuchtung aufweist, damit letztere durch Fortsetzung der das Trennmesser wirksam machenden Kippbewegung auf das Ende des abgeschnittenen Klebebandstiickes aufgedriiekt werden kann.
Der erste, zweckmässig zungenförmige Hilfsanpressteil, ermöglicht es, den Bandanfang durch eine geringe Kippbewegung des Gehäuses so mit der Unterlage zu verkleben, dass die Klebung tatsächlich bis zum Bandende reicht, während der zweite Hilfsanpressteil diese Aufgabe mit Bezug auf das Ende des aufgeklebten Streifens ermöglicht lmd gleieh- zeitig eine Gewähr dafür schafft, dass das Band bei Durchfiihrung der Abtrennbewegung nicht wieder teilweise von der Unterlage abgelost wird.
-In der beiliegenden Zeichnung ist ein Aus- führungsbeispiel einer erfindungsgemässen ; lbrollvorrichtung dargestellt, und zwar :
Fig. 1 die Vorrichtung im Querschnitt nach der Linie ce in Fig. 2 und
Fig. 2 im Grundriss bei abgenommenem Deckel.
Es bezeichnet 1 das Gehäuse mit dem die Bandrolle aufnehmenden Kern 2,3 den Dekkel, 4 das Anpressorgan, das hier als eine um die Achse 5 drehbare Rolle ausgeführt ist, und 6 eine schmale Gehäuseleiste, an welche das Bandende mittels seiner Klebeschicht leicht angeklebt wird, um es bei Verwendung der Vorrichtung sofort bereit zu haben. Zwischen dem. Trennmesser 7, das-wie be kannt-gezackt ist, und dem Anpressorgan 4 ist der aus einer Metallklinge bestehende erste Hilfsanpressteil 8 vorgesehen, der hier aus einer zum Anpressorgan 4 weisenden Klinge besteht, aber auch. anderer Beschaffenheit sein konnte.
Der Hilfsanpressteil 8 und das Trennmesser sind zu einem Bauteil vereinigt, der zwei Schenkel und eine solche Form aufweist, dal3 jener Bereich des Bauteils, in welchem seine Schenkel ineinander übergehen, einen unvollständigen angenäherten Zylinder bildet, mit welchem der genannte Bauteil in einer entsprechend geformten Ausnehmnng des Vorrichtungsgehäuses sitzt. Die besondere Vereinigung der beiden genannten Teile führt zu einem vereinfachten Zusammenbau der einzelnen Teile der gesamten Vorrichtung. Es ist ersichtlich, dass die Teile 4,6,7 in einem seitlichen Fortsatz 9 des sonst im wesentlichen zvlindrischen Vorrichtlmgsgehällses lmterge- bracht sind.
An der Stelle, wo das Hilfsanpressorgan 8 und das Trennmesser 7 eingebaut sind, weist dieses Gehäuse an der Aussenseite eine den zweiten Hilfsanpressteil bildende Ausbuchtung 10 auf, mit der es möglich ist, das Ende des abgesehnittenen lS : lebebandstüekes auf die zu beklebende Unterlage aufzupressen, was in einem Arbeitsgang mit dem Aufkleben des ganzen Bandstüekes und seinem Abtrennen vom Bandvorrat wie folgt geschehen kann :
Das Bandende, das noch an der Leiste 6 haftet, wird freigemacht, und die Vorrichtung wird auf die Zll beklebende Unterlage aufgesetzt, wobei der Bandanfang nicht nur durch das Organ 4, sondern auch noch durch den Hilfsanpressteil 8 fest gegen die Unterlage gedrüekt wird.
Sodann wird die ge wünschte Bandlänge auf die Unterlage geklebt, indem die Vorrichtung, wenn sie sich in der gezeichneten Stellung befindet, in Richtlmg des Pfeils A bewegt wird. Ist die gewünschte Klebelänge erreicht, so wird die Vorrichtung um den Gehäusefortsatz 9, das heisst zunächst um die Rolle 4, in Richtung des Pfeils B gekippt, doeh die Bewegung in Richtung A fortgesetzt. Hat die Kippung schliesslich ein bestimmtes Mass erreicht, so legt sich das Band um das Trennmesser 7, und weil der Zug in Richtung A bei nunmehr gekippterVorrichtung andauert, wird das Band durchtrennt.
Der damit plötzlich wegfallende Widerstand, der bisher von undurehtrenntem Band ausgeübt wurde, bewirkt, dass die ganze Vorrichtung nunmehr nach vorübergehender Verzögerung der Horizontalbewe- gung wieder in P, iehtlmg A in Bewegung ge rät, wodurch die Ausbuchtung 10, das heisst der zweite Hilfsanpressteil, das noch hochragende Ende des aufgeklebten Bandstückes ebenfalls gegen die zu beklebende Unterlage anpresst. Der Klebevorgang ist damit beendet.
Man erkennt, dass das durch die Durch- trennung des Bandes bei 7 entstehende freie Bandende um so länger ist, je weiter das Trennmesser 7 vom Anpressorgan 4 entfernt ist. Dieses freie Bandende musste bisher von Hand auf die Unterlage gedrückt werden, was nunmehr durch blosses Kippen des Gehäuses von selbst erreicht wird. Bis zum folgenden Klebevorgang kann das aus der Vorrichtung vorstehende Bandende in der bereits angege benen Weise am Teil 6 fixiert werden, um es bei der folgenden Klebung, nachdem man es von 6 losgelöst hat, durch das erste Hilfsanpressglied 8 auf die Unterlage zu drüeken.
Um die Ablösung des auf der Leiste 6 haften- den Bandendes zu erleichtern, kann man in der Behälterwandung eine Öffnung 11 genügender Grosse vorsehen. Es versteht sich, dass der Hilfsanpressteil 10, im Gegensatz zu äusserlieh ähnlichen älteren Ausführungen ; über die ganze Breite des Fortsatzes des Ge häuses 1 wirksam ist.

The present invention relates to an unwinding device for rolls of adhesive tape and is in particular intended to apply the known self-adhesive tapes to the substrate to be glued and to separate them from the supply roll in the desired length.
Devices of this type have become widely known; In most cases, as in the present case, it is a question of roll-off devices with a housing that accommodates the roll of tape and has a housing extension in which a pressure element serving to press the tape onto the substrate to be glued and a separating knife are housed in such a way that the latter can be made effective by tilting the housing around said extension.
Such adhesive tape unwinding and separating devices, which have become known otherwise, have the sewing part that the adhesive tape cannot be applied to the material to be glued in one go, that is to say without any additional edge handles. A piece of tape a few millimeters long remains free at the beginning and the end of the joint and must first be pressed onto the surface from the ground.
These apparatuses thus require two successive operations to be carried out by first gluing the tape by means of the device and then pressing down the tape ends. Devices of this type are therefore not suitable for one-handed operation. Another disadvantage of known devices is that the tape is severed by a rotary movement perpendicular to the unwinding device in the gluing plane, which results in creasing or tearing of thin papers to be glued.
The invention avoids these deficiencies in that a first auxiliary pressing part facing the latter is arranged between the cutting knife and the pressing member and that the housing extension receiving the pressing member has a bulge serving as a second auxiliary pressing part on its outside, so that the latter by continuing the tilting movement that makes the cutting knife effective can be pressed onto the end of the cut piece of tape.
The first, suitably tongue-shaped auxiliary pressing part enables the beginning of the tape to be glued to the base by a slight tilting movement of the housing so that the adhesive actually extends to the end of the tape, while the second auxiliary pressing part enables this task with reference to the end of the glued-on strip at the same time ensures that the tape is not partially detached from the base again when the separation movement is carried out.

It denotes 1 the housing with the core 2, 3 the cover, 4 the pressure element, which is designed here as a roller rotatable about the axis 5, and 6 a narrow housing bar to which the tape end is easily glued by means of its adhesive layer to have it ready immediately when using the device. Between the. Separating knife 7, which-as be known-is serrated, and the pressing member 4, the first auxiliary pressing part 8 consisting of a metal blade is provided, which here consists of a blade facing the pressing member 4, but also. of a different nature.
The auxiliary pressing part 8 and the separating knife are combined to form a component which has two legs and a shape such that that area of the component in which its legs merge forms an incomplete approximated cylinder with which the said component is in a correspondingly shaped recess of the device housing sits. The special combination of the two parts mentioned leads to a simplified assembly of the individual parts of the entire device. It can be seen that the parts 4, 6, 7 are incorporated in a lateral extension 9 of the otherwise essentially cylindrical device housing.
At the point where the auxiliary pressing member 8 and the separating knife 7 are installed, this housing has a bulge 10 on the outside which forms the second auxiliary pressing part, with which it is possible to press the end of the cut-off piece of tape onto the substrate to be glued, What can be done in one operation with the sticking of the whole piece of tape and its separation from the tape supply as follows:
The end of the tape, which is still adhering to the strip 6, is cleared and the device is placed on the surface to be glued on, the beginning of the tape being pressed firmly against the surface not only by the organ 4, but also by the auxiliary pressing part 8.
The desired length of tape is then glued to the base by moving the device in the direction of arrow A when it is in the position shown. Once the desired adhesive length has been reached, the device is tilted around the housing extension 9, that is to say initially around the roller 4, in the direction of the arrow B, while the movement in the direction A is continued. When the tilting has finally reached a certain level, the tape is wrapped around the cutting knife 7, and because the pull in direction A continues with the device now tilted, the tape is cut.
The resistance suddenly disappearing, which was previously exerted by the undoed tape, causes the entire device to move back into motion after a temporary delay in the horizontal movement, whereby the bulge 10, i.e. the second auxiliary pressing part, the still protruding end of the glued piece of tape also presses against the surface to be glued. The gluing process is now complete.
It can be seen that the free end of the tape resulting from the severing of the tape at 7 is longer, the further away the severing knife 7 is from the pressure member 4. This free end of the tape previously had to be pressed onto the base by hand, which is now achieved by simply tilting the housing. Until the following gluing process, the end of the tape protruding from the device can be fixed in the manner already indicated on part 6 in order to press it onto the pad by the first auxiliary pressure member 8 during the following gluing after it has been detached from 6.
In order to facilitate the detachment of the tape end adhering to the strip 6, an opening 11 of sufficient size can be provided in the container wall. It goes without saying that the auxiliary pressing part 10, in contrast to externally similar older designs; over the entire width of the extension of the Ge housing 1 is effective.
