Fig. I eine Seitenansiclit des ganzen Behälters,
Fig. 5 und 6 zeigen je eine Konstruktionseinzelheit.
Transport container for powdery substances.
The invention relates to a transport container for powdery substances, such as cement, limestone, coal dust and the like, specifically to a container which can be tilted to empty the powdery contents and whose one end wall has the shape of a near outside and below an outlet opening in the lower part of the tapering cone.
It is known to facilitate the exit of the powder by introducing pressure air or gas into the container near the exit opening through nozzle-like openings in a plate, the pressure medium passing through the openings in the downward direction, and that one an air or gas nozzle is provided in the outlet line or in the connection piece united with the outlet opening in order to convey the material through the outlet line.
According to the invention, the transport container for powdery substances that is used for. Emptying can be tilted and whose one end wall has the shape of a cone that tapers outwards and downwards near an outlet opening in the lower part, a porous sanding inserted into the underside of the conical end wall in the flow direction in front of the outlet opening and means for supplying ventilating pressure medium in the container through this porous wall, with the aim of causing the powdery material to flow in front of the outlet opening and thereby simplifying the emptying of the loading.
The porous wall expediently consists of two perforated plates with an intermediate layer of air-permeable material; the two plates and the intermediate layer; are advantageously attached over an opening in the conical end wall.
According to one embodiment of the invention, the porous wall is suspended from an outer plate in such a way that an intermediate space is formed between this and the porous wall, the pressure medium being fed to the container via this intermediate space.
The intermediate layer advantageously contains foam rubber which is permeable to air.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is illustrated in the drawing, namely:
Fig. I a side view of the entire container,
Fig. 2 is a plan view of Fig. 1 on a larger scale, but the cylindrical body is omitted,
3 shows a front view of the emptying end of the container with the pipe connections for the supply of pressurized gas,
4 shows a perspective view of the emptying end of the container rotated by 180 in the plane of the drawing, and FIG
5 and 6 each show a construction detail.
The container 10 has a cylindrical shape over the greater part of its length and is closed off at one end by an outwardly curved plate 11 welded to this end of the cylindrical body. The other end wall 13 is also welded to the named body and has the shape of an oblique cone, that is, it is near the rear and tapered downwards in order to form an emptying channel leading the material into an emptying pipe 9, the pipe 9 with the emptying opening 8 (Fig. 4) is connected.
The passage of the material through the outlet opening of the channel is regulated by a valve plate 14 (FIG. 5), which is rigidly attached to a shaft stub 15 rotatably mounted in an eye 16, and by a cover plate 17 attached to a flange 18 by means of screws , this flange being welded to the channel 13. The outer end of the stub shaft 15 is square in cross section for the purpose of placing a crank 19 (FIG. 1).
The valve plate 14 has a U-shaped opening, not shown, which by turning the crank 19 with the Rinnenaus outlet opening can be brought into congruence. To close this opening, the valve plate 14 can be rotated out of the closed position. The material is introduced into the container through an opening provided at the top of the container and closable by a lid 20.
At the bottom of the discharge channel 13, i.e. in the flow direction in front of the outlet opening, an opening 21 (FIGS. 2 and 4) is provided, above which one of an upper and lower perforated plate 22 or 23 (FIG. 6) and one between these two Plates inserted strips 24 of permeable material, for. B. latex hem, existing device is arranged. This is mounted at both ends on a piece of rubber 25, which in turn sits on a cover plate 26 attached to a strip 27 at both ends by means of visual screws. The two strips 27 are welded to the bottom of the channel 13 is.
This arrangement creates a space 28 between the device 22-24 and the cover plate 26 into which pressurized gas, e.g. B. Druekluft, can be passed to ventilate the emptying end of the container located good to facilitate the leakage. The pressurized fluid flows through device 22-24.
The pressurized gas flows into the space 28 from a main pipe 30 with three branches 31-33 (Fig. 3). The branch 31 supplies the space 28, and the two branches 32 and 33 are in connection with diametrically opposite inlet channels in the wall of the drainage pipe 9. The outlet openings of the branches 32 and 33 in the pipe 9 are inclined in the drainage direction. Instead of being inclined or in addition to this, these openings can also be directed tangentially to the emptying pipes.
The openings are preferably directed tangentially, in such a way that the incoming compressed gas enters the pipe along a helical line, whereby the outflow of the goods through the pipe is facilitated.
A safety valve 34 is provided in the pipe 30 for the pressurized fluid and a shut-off valve 35 is provided between this and the branches 32 and 33.
Instead of being cylindrical in cross-section as shown, the container main body may also have an elliptical or similar cross-section.
In some cases it may prove advantageous to provide a drainage opening at both ends of the container. Each end wall can then be designed like the end wall 13, the arrangement described for the inlet of the pressurized fluid being provided at each end of the container. The container can then be tilted at either end.
The container described can be mounted on road vehicles, railroad cars and the like. The vehicle on which the container is mounted can be provided with a suitable mechanism for tilting the container, or this mechanism can be arranged on the outside of the vehicle, for example it can have a crane on the emptying side.
The container can be hermetically sealed, and if the contents of the container are to be emptied into a high-lying filling funnel, sufficient twist can be generated in the container to convey the goods to be emptied against gravity to the desired height. The pressure required for this is relatively small and the container can be built with relatively thin walls in a light construction.
