Escabeau avec marchepied repliable. La présente invention a pour objet un escabeau avec marchepied repliable, pouvant servir de petite échelle ou être utilisé comme siège.
Le dessin annexé, donné à titre d'exemple, représente une forme d'exécution d'un esca beau selon l'invention.

Dans la forme d'exécution représentée, ].'escabeau 1 diffère d'un tabouret ordinaire par le fait que les pieds 2 et 3 sont renforcés à leur partie inférieure pour former une assise au marchepied 4 articulé auxdits pieds. A son extrémité antérieure libre, le marche pied 4 est articulé à un support 5, en forme de cadre (fig. 2), composé de deux montants reliés en haut et en bas par deux traverses, pour lui donner une certaine stabilité, tout en l'allégeant.
Le siè-e du tabouret. dépasse du côté où est articulé le marchepied, afin qu'à l'état replié, ce dernier soit caché et qu'il ne dé passe pas le parement extérieur des pieds 2 et 3, comme représenté en fig. 1.
Dans la forme d'exécution représentée, les articulations du marchepied au tabouret et du support au marchepied sont réalisées par des ferrures; de chaque côté du marche pied 4 se trouve un fer cornière 6 sur l'une des ailes duquel sont fixées les lames de bois formant le marchepied, les extrémités de l'autre aile étant articulées d'un côté à une ferrure 7 formant pivot et vissée au pied et de l'autre côté à une ferrure â, vissée au support 5.
Pour assurer la position horizontale du marchepied à l'état déployé, le côté intérieur repose sur une assise formée sur les pieds 2 et 3, et le côté extérieur repose sur le sup port 5, retenu au marchepied, sur au moins l'un des côtés, par une tige 9.
Pour maintenir le marchepied à l'état re plié, on le fait pivoter de 90 autour de la ferrure 7, de sorte que son côté extérieur, articulé au support 5, vienne en prise avec un ressort 10 fixé sous le siège. On rabat ensuite le support 5 autour de son articula tion, en faisant coulisser la tige 9 dans la glissière 11 jusqu'à ce que le support 5 se juxtapose au marchepied 4.
Ce meuble, faisant à la fois office de tabouret et de petite échelle, est très pra tique, surtout dans des locaux exigus, cui sines, etc.
