Description
Fan with spiral casing. In the case of the previously known fans with spiral housing, the efficiency is still unsatisfactory because it is increased according to your Dra.ll law. see the pressure in a volute from the inside to the outside, which creates cross currents that lead to considerable losses.
By subdividing the conveying medium flowing out of the impeller by means of partition walls in the housing, the cross flows could be partially reduced. As is known, however, the leading edges of these partition walls must be formed with a thick bead, otherwise too strong a CT case will result.
As is shown schematically in FIG. 1 of the accompanying drawing, the impact of the rotating conveying means on this thick bead 10 of the partition wall 11 creates vortices 12 over the entire width of the housing, which again. Cross flows and corresponding losses arise.
In order to reduce these losses and thus increase the efficiency of the fan, is. According to the present invention, a fan with a spiral housing and a spiral-shaped partition wall, the leading edge of which is thickened in a bead-like manner in order to prevent unwanted noises, characterized in that the bead extends only over part of the housing width.
The accompanying drawing shows schematically exemplary embodiments of fans according to the invention in FIGS. 2 to 4.
In the example according to FIGS. 2 and 3, a spiral-shaped separating wall 2 is built into the spiral housing 1, whereby the conveying medium of the impeller 3 is divided and the largest percentage of the first half is passed from the channel -1 into the discharge channel 5.
The bead. 6, that is, the reinforcement at the entry of the partition wall 2 ″ is not applied to the entire width of the housing 1, but only approximately to the width of the impeller, which is sufficient to prevent abnormal noise.
On the side of the impeller outlet, the leading edge 7 of the partition wall 2 remains without a bead, so that the conveying medium flows are not disturbed in these side parts when they transition into the discharge channel 5.
4 shows a section through a fan housing at the transition from duct 4 to discharge duct 5 and a view. on a partial arrangement of the bead 6. The suction effect of the lateral conveying means flows 8, which are not disturbed by beads, on the vortex. shown schematically.
The vortices 9 created by the impact on the bead 6 above the impeller outlet are sucked in by the undisturbed conveying medium flows 8, carried along and brought in the proper direction soon after they meet. The flow in the discharge channel 5 is not in the side parts that remain free from the N @ Tulst. more disturbed by harmful cross currents, and the efficiency of the fan is significantly improved.
The shape of the bead 6 and the entry edge 7 of the partition wall 2 can be chosen arbitrarily, for example straight or arcuate.
If the flow at the outlet is uneven, the discharge channel 5 can be compensated if the leading edge? is bent inwards towards the impeller.
In the case of subdivided running wheels, the bead 6 can also be subdivided in order to switch on undisturbed track parts 8 in between for the purpose of sucking in the eddy currents.
Instead of a single partition wall Z, several can be built in the spiral housing.
