Device for measuring the helix angle of helical gears.
The invention relates to a device for measuring the tooth saw angle of helical gears. Devices that serve this purpose have already become known. In one of the same z. B. a feeler rouan along a helical line of the tooth flank and thus on the one hand the course of the Sehra. the extension line and, on the other hand, its angle of incline measured. With another device, the angle is determined in the
Way that a probe touching the tooth flank is initially moved parallel to the rada'esse by a known amount and then the wheel is rotated until the probe touches the flank again, from which the angle of the helix can be calculated.
The device according to the invention makes it possible, with a corresponding design, to measure the tooth inclination angle quickly and easily. It is characterized in that a sensing element, which is connected to an angular measuring circle and is arranged to be rotatable about its axis, is equipped with a flat surface that is intended to be placed tangentia1 on a tooth flank of the helical gear. so that the angle measuring circle experiences the same rotation with respect to a mark of the reading device during measurement as the surface area with respect to the wheel axis.
Two exemplary embodiments of the device according to the invention are described below. The first concerns an instrument. which is intended for measurements on large wheels and is therefore mobile. The measuring device according to the a. The type is intended for smaller wheels and has a stand on which the wheel to be measured can be clamped on a shaft between points.
The drawing relates to execution examples of the two types of measuring device. Show it:
1 shows a helical gear with a measuring surface and a contact ruler to explain the measuring method,
2 shows a very helical wheel with an applied measuring surface, this touching the tooth flank on a tangent to the basic wheel cylinder of the wheel.
3 shows various axes of rotation about which the measuring surface can be pivoted on a tooth of a helical gear with an applied MēflÏche,
4 shows an embodiment of the measuring surface on a helical gear tooth,
Fig. 5 shows a movable measuring device for large wheels, in plan,
Fig. 6 the same in side elevation to Fig. 5, on a larger scale,
7 shows an embodiment of the Mē device according to FIGS. 5 and 6,
8 shows a measuring device with a V-shaped ruler for stopping against the shaft of the wheel to be measured, in elevation,
9 the same in the side view,
Fig.
10 a Winkelmē device with a slidable on a bed and points to support the wheel to be measured rotatably r, in the side elevation,
11 the same device seen from the front.
The measuring process is shown schematically in Fig. 1. The sensing element b, which has a flat surface m, is placed on the tooth to be measured of the helical gear a. This measuring surface forms one leg of the angle B to be measured, the other is the axis of the gear. If the wheel axis cannot be referred to during the measurement, then a forehead perpendicular to the axis appears as the second leg of the Mē angle, Lte)? of the wheel to which the ruler of the device is applied.
The measuring surfaces of the sensing element and the ruler form the angle a = 90 - ¯ with one another, the angle measuring and reading parts of the device being suitably set in this way for the sake of simplicity. tilt, so that the angle == 90-a can be read off directly.
As is known, the helical surface of a tooth flank can be generated by rolling the tangent e on the basic cylinder g at an angle of inclination ¯o to the cylinder generating line on cylinder g (FIG. 2). If now the sensing organ b a. n placed on the flank, its measuring surface m always touches a tangent e, and if the swiveling of the measuring surface to the rada. If the axis parallel position about an axis of rotation X, which lies in the measuring surface, the swivel angle is equal to the tooth angle ¯o. The same result is obtained if the axis X 'is parallel to the surface m, but not in it (Fig. 3).
If, on the other hand, the axis of rotation y or y 'forms an angle e with the surface area, if the angle s is equal to the pressure angle of the toothing in the normal section on the pitch circle cylinder d, the measurement indicates the tooth angle ¯ on the pitch circle.
If the point p in FIG. 2 is the point of intersection of the pitch cylinder d with the tangent e on the pitch circle screw line h, then is the measuring area? M of the probe b at point p both tangential to the helical line and to the base circle tangent, and since the pivoting of the surface took place around an axis of rotation y or y 'which lies in a plane perpendicular to the wheel axis, corresponds to The angle of rotation of the surface is the angle of inclination ¯ of the screw line on the pitch circle.
The measuring surface of the sensing organ 5 ka. nn a single flat surface (Fig. 1, 2) or a. Also be interrupted and consist of two straight parallel strips ml and m2 (Fig. 4) in order to achieve perfect contact with the tooth flank.
FIGS. 5 and 6 show a movable measuring device for large wheels when measuring a wheel l. In the housing 2, a shaft 3 is mounted, which at one end carries a holder 4 to which the sensing element 5 is attached. The axis X of the shaft lies in the flat measuring surface m of the sensing element.
At the other end of the shaft 3 there is attached a mounting plate 6 which has an exact graduation a, not shown, the twisting of which can be read off on the microscope 7 when measuring. The instrument is guided on the gear wheel 1 by a ruler 8 which, with its flat surface II.
'is placed on a plane face of the wheel, which is assumed to be exactly perpendicular to the wheel axis. A slide 9 can be adjusted along the ruler and clamped to it. In a guide groove of this slide, a carrier 10 is arranged so that it can be slid and locked in place and has a frame 11 which contains two guide rails. The housing 2 is inserted into the frame with two corresponding guide grooves and can thus be moved in this parallel to the stop surface of the ruler by tightening or loosening the two screws 12 that are located in the carrier 10 and two springs 13 act on it.
To carry out the measurement, the s ruler 8 is placed with its flat surface n on the wheel and in a manner not shown, for. B. by screws or weights held. Now you place the slide 9 on the ruler in such a way that the feeler element 5 almost touches the tooth flank, while the carrier 10 has already been moved on the slide carriage 9 in such a way that the measurement takes place at the appropriate point on the tooth flank.
The housing 2 is now shifted to the left by means of the screws 12 (Fig. 6) until the measuring surface is appropriately tangential 1: un tooth with slight pressure, whereby it is rotated around the axis X according to the tooth saws, whereupon a mark of the microscope 7 a. On the appropriately rotated measuring disc 6, read off the tooth angle ¯o on the base circle.
Another version of the ruler to be placed on the wheel face is shown by F; Ig. 7; the ruler 108 is formed here in the shape of a circular arc. Furthermore, the housing 3 with the measuring disc and the sensing element is attached directly to the ruler, which makes the device lighter. For better guidance on the gearwheel s! ind two more supports. 14 fastened to the ruler 108 by means of screws 15, which rest on two tooth tips.
8 and 9 show a measuring device similar to FIGS. 5 and 6, but with which the inclined position of the Fiihlo, rgans 5 with respect to the wheel axle is measured. For this purpose, a guide 16 is attached to the housing 2. in which the measuring disc and the sensing element are arranged in the same way as in FIG. 6, in which a splined shaft 17 can be moved without play. At the end of the ruler sits the ruler 18, which is placed on the wheel shaft with its V-shaped stop surface in a tangent manner, which is not affected when the splined shaft is displaced.
Rotary movement with respect to the guide 16 he f @ rt. A support lever 19 gives the device the necessary hold on the wheel. The axis of the measuring disk is again parallel to the surface of the sensor 5, so that the angle ¯o is read off.
While the described embodiment concerned hand-held devices, for example FIGS. 10 and 11 a device for predominantly smaller wheels that can be clamped between tips for measuring while sitting on a shaft. On the bed 20 there are two trestles 21, adjustable in a manner not shown, with tips 22, between which the shaft of the gear to be measured l is rotatably mounted without play.
Furthermore, the bed 20 contains a slide 29 which is parallel and at a fixed distance from the tip and on which a housing 23 by means of a spindle 30 perpendicular to the Za. wheel axis can be moved. In the housing 23 a shaft 24 is mounted which carries the measuring disk 6 on one side and a flange 25 on the other. This is provided with a guide track on which a slide slide 26 can be moved with a screw 27, on which the sensing element 5 is fastened. On the housing cover 28! Finally, the microscope 7 is still attached.
In this device, the axis y 'of the Mē disc forms the angle E with the flat surface m of the sensing element, which z. B. is equal to 15 to test helical gears with a normal pressure angle of 15. In this case the reading gives the tooth angle ¯ on the pitch circle.
The measurement is carried out in such a way that the housing 23 is initially pushed forward against the wheel 1 clamped with its shaft between the tips 22 until the sensing element 5 engages sufficiently deep into the tooth gap. Now you turn the wheel by hand until the tooth flank is in strong tangential contact with the measuring surface Mt, whereby this and thus the measuring disc 6 by the angle? is pivoted. The mark of the microscope 7 corresponds to the graduation 0 of the measuring disk (FIG. 11) if the measuring surface m is exactly parallel to the wheel axis.
The displaceability of the slide 26 on the flange 25 is required once because of the changing tooth thickness accordingly ehend the Alodul. It then enables the tooth angle to be checked over the entire flank area between the tip and root circle of the toothing. To check the a. To change the tooth side, the shaft 24 is rotated 180 after removal of the probe 5 or the housing 23.
