Werkzeug-Pr feinrichtung.
Tool testing device.
The maintenance of tools requires constant monitoring of some of their characteristics, such as B. Cutting angle.
Tooth pitch, axial and concentricity, e.g. B. with milling or cutting steels.
The tool testing device according to the present invention enables, with appropriate training, an easier testing of such characteristics.
It has a circular arc-shaped guide connected to a stand for a sector of a circle which can be pivoted about the center of the circle and at the point of rotation of which two straight lines perpendicular to one another and attached to the sector cross, these parts being dera. rt are designed so that the guide, which is symmetrical with respect to its center plane, can accommodate the sector in positions rotated by 180 on both sides of its plane of symmetry.
The stand can be a column, e.g. B. with a traverse carrying the guide, at the end of which the guide has additional measuring instruments, e.g. B. a dial gauge, can be attached.
Furthermore, the device can be completed by the fact that it is assigned a bed with the necessary devices for receiving or clamping the tools to be tested.
The attached drawing shows an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention.
1 is a view of a device in which the guide with the swiveling sector and a dial gauge are arranged on a crossbeam carried by a column and a bed with tailstock is provided, by means of which a milling cutter to be tested is clamped.
Fig. 2 shows the guide provided with the circular sector and its connection with the traverse, on a larger scale, when checking the milling cutter.
Fig. 3 is part of a section through the guide.
Fig. 4 is part of a corresponding section through the sector of a circle.
FIG. 5 is a diagrammatic representation of a visual hood used to connect the circular sector and the guide.
The Prnfeinrichtnng shown in Fig. 1 consists of the bed 1, on the one hand the Reitstoek 2 and on the other hand a column 3 expediently on scraped surfaces; are arranged displaceably parallel to one another. The column 3 is clamped against displacement on the bed 1 by tightening the head 4 by turning a knurled nut 5 located on the upper end face of the column. A detent provided in the column base 6, not visible in the drawing, ensures that the column, which is still rotatable about its longitudinal axis in the fixed position, is blocked in positions that differ from one another by 180.
The knurled nut 7 serves to block the rotational movement of the column 3, regardless of its position on the bed established by the butter 5, by turning the nut 5 into a. Pillar. stored sleeve is fixed by means of a pull rod guided therein and having the head 4, and the column rotatable about this inner sleeve is clamped by tightening the nut 7 sitting on this sleeve.
A traverse 8 is displaceable along the column; it can be adjusted in the vertical direction by actuating a rotary knob 9 and fixed in the desired height position by means of a screw 10.
On one side of the column, this traverse 8 carries the guide 11 at the end, and a dial indicator 12 on the other side at the other end of the traverse.
As can be seen from FIGS. 2 and 3, the guide 11, which has the shape of a circular arc practically extending over 180, is symmetrical with respect to its center plane and has two circular arc-shaped grooves 13 and 14 on each side of its plane of symmetry, see above that the circular sector 1. 5 on both sides of the guide in the relevant grooves can be swiveled from the drawn central position to the right or to the left by 45¯.
As can be seen from FIGS. 3 and 4, this movement takes place in such a way that the pinion 17 of the guide 11, which can be actuated by the knurled knob 16, engages in a toothing 18 ciner 13: rice arch rib of the sector 15 inserted into the guide. This rib pāt exactly in the groove 13 and at the same time guides the sector with respect to the guide.
In the other groove 14, a likewise fitted rib 19 of the sector engages, which is thus guided precisely around the circular center of the guide 11.
The section according to FIG. 3 shows that the pinion 17 engages in both grooves 13, and that the two grooves 14 at the groove base are expanded to form a T-shaped profile for receiving the head of the screw 20, which, as in FIG. 5 shown, is flattened on two opposite sides. The inserted sector 15 is held on the guide by the screw 20 and can also be clamped. 4 shows the hole through which this screw engages through the middle of the rib 19.
The sector 15 is provided with a graduated scale 21 and also bears the two straight rulers 22 and 23, which are perpendicular to one another and whose intersection point coincides exactly with the pivot point of the sector in the guide.
The cutting edge of the ruler 23 is directed towards the zero of the same, which lies in the center of the scale 21, and the ruler is radially displaceable with respect to the sector and can be fixed with the aid of the screw 24.
The sector 15 used on one or the other of the sides of the guide which are symmetrical with respect to the central plane of the guide 11 has layers rotated by 180 on both sides.
It is sufficient to change its use. To pivot it further than it may be necessary for measurements, from its central position shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, so that it slides out of the guide, in order to then return it to the 180 rotated position on the opposite side drawn Insert leadership.
Thanks to this possibility, milling tools toothed on the left and right can be measured and checked.
For testing a milling tool 25 or
2G (cf. FIGS. 1 and 2) the milling tool is clamped in the tailstock 2 and the straight edge chords are placed on the surfaces to be tested.
On the radius connecting an angle of 45 of its scale with its center of rotation, the sector has a centering hole 27 which, when using the device without bed 1, for example on a tool grinder, can quickly and reliably guide the sector For this purpose, sector 15 is set to the relevant 45 angle by setting the radius between the sector center and this angle through the zero point marked on the guide as a parallel to the longitudinal axis of column 3.
In this position, one of the tailstock tips is inserted into the relevant centering hole 27 and the column is pushed until the outer edge of the centering hole of the tailstock tip lies against the entire circumference.
This guarantees that the axis of the tailstock tip is at right angles to the sector sehwenkplane and lies in the plane parallel to the column axis through the axis of rotation of the sector.
The one without a bed. device to be used can e.g. B. be attached by means of a Gūschiene on any support surface of the machine or on another surface. The device described can also be used to measure cutting angles on cutting steels. For this purpose, a small support table that can be attached to the bed 1 can be provided.
The stylus of the dial gauge 12 arranged at the other end of the cross member 8 lies at exactly the same distance from the column axis as the intersection of the two straight lines 23, 24 of the sector inserted into the guide, so that without transverse displacement, simply by pivoting the column 3 by 180, the concentricity test can be carried out on a tool that has been checked using a straightedge.
Combined with the dial gauge, auxiliary devices could of course be provided to, for. B. the left or right axial run, or tooth distributions of tools to be able to check.
The sector and its guide can be pivoted from the vertical position shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 on both sides to the horizontal position, since the guide is mounted on a horizontal pin 28 provided on the cross member 8. The: guidance can be determined in the set inclination by tightening the nut 29 and the inclination can be read on the scale 30.
