La butée 11 limite la course dextrorsum du balancier. L'armature 3 n'étant plus attirée, revient à sa position de repos contre la butée 10. Le ressort supérieur 13, en se -détendant, fait tourner le balancier 7 senestrorsum. Du rant cette course de retour;
Electromagnetic winding timepiece. The object of the present invention is a timepiece with electromagnetic winding in. in which the oscillating armature of the electromagnet, attracted by the latter, acts on a balauci @ r causing by its rotation the closing of a spiral spring and in which the balance, returned by said spiral spring,
In its return stroke, arms a second spiral spring housed in a barrel, the drum of which is engaged with the first mobile of the clockwork movement. This timepiece is characterized, according to the present invention, in that the bung of the first spiral spring is mounted on a fixed sleeve in the bottom of which is pivoted the axis of the second barrel, the bung of the second spiral spring being mounted directly on this axis.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the timepiece forming the subject of the invention.
Fig: 1 is a plan view from the side opposite the plate, and fig. 2 is a section, on an enlarged scale, of the motor device, along line II-II of FIG. 1.
Referring to the drawing, 1 designates an electromagnet, the winding of which is connected to one of the poles of an electricity source, the other pole of which is connected by terminal 2 to ground.
3 is the armature mounted in an oscillating manner on the .corps of the electromagnet with the aid of a metal strip 4 acting as a hinge. The frame 3 is guided by an axial rod 5 and has an arm 6, parallel to the axis of the electromagnet. 7 is a balance whose arms are provided with masses. 8.
The balance presents, in. In addition, a contact arm 9 intended to cooperate, to close -and break the circuit of the electromagnet 1, with the end @du arm 6 of the oscillating armature. 10 is an elastic stopper intended to damp the shocks of the frame 3 when the latter returns to its rest position shown in FIG. 1 and 11 is another elastic stop limiting the dextrorsum angular travel of the balance 7..
The balance 7 is integral with the plug 12 to which is fixed the lower end of a first spiral spring 13 housed in a fixed barrel 14. This barrel is mounted on a fixed bush 15 screwed into an upper bridge 17 and on which is rotatably mounted the plug 12 of the first coil spring 13, plug integral with the balance 7.
The ba rillet 14 can be fixed in several. Different angular positions with respect to the "bush 15 by a screw 19 intended to engage in one of the holes 20 made in the bottom of the barrel 14, which makes it possible to adjust the initial tension of the spring 13.
In the bottom 15 of the sleeve 15 is pivoted the upper end of a central axis 16, the lower end of which is pivoted in a bearing fixed to a lower bridge 18.
On this central axis 16, below the lancet bay 7, is mounted loose a plug 22 solid with a ratchet 21; to the plug 22 is hooked the lower end of a second spiral spring 28,
housed in a second barrel 24, the rotating drum of which is wedged on the central axis 16 and carries a toothed crown 25 which is constantly in engagement with the pinion 26 .. of the first mobile of the clock movement. The operation of the motor device with electromagnetic winding is identical to that described in the main patent When the
electromagnet circuit = magnet is closed between arm 6 of the armature and the -con tact 9 of the balance 7, the electromagnet attracts its - armature. The balance 7 is then pro pulsed dextrorsum and arms the spring, upper hairspring 13, the inner end of which is hooked to its plug 12 secured to the balance.
When the armature 3 abuts against the electromagnet, the balance 7 whose moment of inertia, due to its masses 8, is relatively high, continues its 4extrorsiun rotation under the action of its live force, ce which breaks the contact between parts 6 and 9.
The stop 11 limits the dextrorsum stroke of the balance. The frame 3 is no longer attracted, returns to its rest position against the stop 10. The upper spring 13, by relaxing, turns the balance 7 senestrorsum. Because of this return race;
the pendulum drives, by the .click 28 which it carries on its underside, the ratchet 21 integral with the plug 22 to which is attached the inner end of the lower spring 23. This spring is thus wound up.
The ratchet 21 and the plug 22. being retained in their angular position acquired by the retaining pawl 29, the res comes out 23 slowly relaxing the drum of the barrel 24 which is engaged with the first mobile of the movement. .
Thus, the upper spiral spring 13 has the sole function of bringing back the ba lancer and. to arm, by relaxing, the lower spring 23 which does, alone ,. mainspring office:
This provision is present on the provision. known from the single spring operating at the. both as a driving member and as a balance return member, the double advantage of eliminating the too sudden impulses given to the movement and of constituting a device for limiting the tension of the mainspring, because it is easy to calibrate the spring upper so that its force cannot exceed a predetermined limit of lower spring tension.
.In known devices comprising a single spring-spring, the impulses given to the first mobile of the movement by the balance are communicated to it directly by the single ratchet. It is clear that if, at the beginning of the oscillation of the return of the balance wheel, the impulse pawl that the latter carries is opposite the top of a tooth of the ratchet, the impulse given to the movement will start by a jerk.
On the other hand, during the oscillation of the balance, no impetus is given to the movement. The timepiece described and shown Sup gives priority to these movement actuation irregularities thanks to the second spiral spring which itself absorbs the jolts of impulse and which, mounted in a rotating barrel,
the movement thereof continuously and with an always substantially constant force, to the great advantage of the precision of the march and although the frequency of the winding pulses can be considerably reduced.
The part according to the present invention has over that described in the main patent the double advantage of a simpler and less expensive assembly and of a notable reduction in friction due to the fact that the plug 22 of the second spiral spring ,
is mounted directly .sur central axis 16 whose end is pivoted in the bottom of the. bush freezes 15.
