Dans la première forme d'exécution, mon trée en fig. 1, la carrure-lunette 1 de la boîte possède un enfoncement formé par une rai nure coaxiale 2 dans laquelle le joint d'étan chéité 3, de section rectangulairie, est préala blement placé;
Lorsqu'on assemble à cran le fond 6 au rebord extérieur 7 de la carrure, il agit obliquement par rapport -au plan du mou vement sur l'arête 8 du joint par sa surface concave 9 et le rpmesse contre le fond et le re bord intérieur de la rainure;
La fie-. 3 montre une variante de la fig. 2, dans laquelle le joint d'étanchéité 22, de sec- tion. Tonde, est préalablement monté élastique- ment contre la surface externe concave du re bord intérieur 23 ,du fond de la boîte;
Dans la troisième forme d'exécution, re- présentée yen fig. 4, ,la carrure 24 de la boite, dont le fond peut être rapporté ou non, pré sente un rebord intérieur -2i5 autour duquel le joint -d'étanchéité eM préalablement monté élastiquement et un rebord extérieur 26;
La glace ,est fixée à demeure dans la bague en la forçant danse, celle-ci, les surfaces res pectives 39 et 40 de cers deux pièces étant un peu coniques, de manière à assurer leur liai son;
Waterproof case for watch movements and measuring devices. The object of the present invention is a waterproof case for watch movements and measuring devices, in which at least one of the two parts, crystal and back, is assembled to the caseband with interposition of a seal.
This box is characterized in that the seal placed in a recess of one of the parts of the box to be assembled in a sealed manner is pressed against the bottom of this recess and contue another surface limiting the latter, against which it is already pressed. elastically, by one on the face of the other <part which, with respect to the plane of movement, acts obliquely on the joint, the straight section of the housing in:
which is the joint being larger than that of the latter, so that it can change shape between the two parts. of the box.
The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example, different embodiments of the object of the present invention. The fie ,. 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 are each a partial axial section of one embodiment. The fie ,. 3 and 7 are similar sections of two variants.
In the first embodiment, my view in fig. 1, the middle-bezel 1 of the case has a recess formed by a coaxial groove 2 in which the sealing gasket 3, of rectangular section, is previously placed;
this is narrower than the groove and resiliently bears against the surface 4 of the inner rim 5, limiting the groove, because the inner diameter of the seal, in the free state, is smaller than that. of said rim.
When the back 6 is assembled in a notch to the outer edge 7 of the caseband, it acts obliquely with respect to the movement plane on the edge 8 of the seal by its concave surface 9 and the rpmesse against the back and the edge inside the groove;
the cross section of the housing for the seal, provided between the two parts of the box, is sufficient. large, it can be seen, so that this seal can change shape, expand and be pressed into the .two. annular spaces 10 and 11, going in a narrowing manner, which are between the seal, </ B > shown undeformed in dotted lines, and the two pieces of the box to be assembled in a watertight manner.
The shape of these annular spaces, especially that of space 11, is most advantageous in ensuring the seal when the box is subjected to accidental pressure.
The inner rim 5 could have a small projection creating a groove and a shoulder serving to retain the seal in the groove 2 of the caseband when the back is removed.
The section of the seal could be round and this seal could be housed in a groove, the surface of the inner rim of which limiting it could have a self-shape, for example more or less conforming to the shape of the seal.
In the second embodiment, my trust is. 2, the seal 3 is previously placed in a recess or a groove 121, of the bottom 6 of the box and rests elastically against the surface 14 4, the groove limiting the groove in the inner rim 15 of the bottom 6, ledge that can be added.
The back is hooked to the rim 17 of the caseband-lunetta 1. The latter has a conical surface 19 which acts on the edge 18 of the seal, obliquely in relation to the plane of the movement,
and presses this seal against the bottom of the groove 12 and the surface 14 of the inner rim of the bottom of the box.
The housing for the seal, formed to fit the two parts of the box to be assembled in a sealed manner, also has its cross section large enough for the seal to change shape and extend into the annular spaces 20 and 21, between the two parts in question .. The seal is also shown in dotted lines, not deformed.
The ice of these two forms of execution. -is fixed in a notch, in a waterproof manner, in the bezel of the middle part.
The caseback could, of course, be assembled to the caseband other than notch, for example by a flange which would be forced by fitting into the caseband (fig. 7).
The fie-. 3 shows a variant of FIG. 2, in which the seal 22, of sec- tion. Tonde, is previously mounted resiliently against the concave outer surface of the inner rim 23 of the bottom of the box;
the seal is pressed by an inclined surface 19 of the spectacle case 1, as in the second embodiment.
In the third embodiment, shown in fig. 4,, the caseband 24 of the box, the bottom of which may or may not be attached, has an inner rim -2i5 around which the seal -d'étealing eM previously elastically mounted and an outer rim 26;
the edge 27 of the glass 28 is assembled by fitting, for example notch, to the inner surface 29 of the rim 26 and then acts by its surface 30, oblique with respect to the plane of the movement, on the edge 31 of the gasket to press it against the rim 25 i and the bottom of the groove 32,
limited by the two edges of the caseband. The gasket, which is also shown in dotted lines in the free state and placed in a housing of section larger than its own, will extend into the annular spaces 33 and 34 which remain of said housing located between the two parts to be assemble tightly. A groove 35 in the ice makes it possible to remove the latter.
In the fourth embodiment, my view in fig. 5, the seal between the crystal and the caseband is produced in the same way as in the previous embodiment, but here the edge 36 of the crystal 37 is assembled to the rim 26 of the caseband via a ring 38, fixed in a notch in said rim.
The mirror is permanently fixed in the ring by forcing it to dance, the latter, the respective surfaces 39 and 40 of the two pieces being a little conical, so as to ensure their binding;
assembling the ice cream. middle part via this ring is intended to facilitate the disassembly of the crystal without risk of damaging it by acting, with a simple usual knife-shaped can opener, between the end of the rim 26 of the middle part and the 'shoulder 41 of the. Ring.
The ring could be made integral with the ice, during the hot molding of the latter.
The ring being previously fixed to the rim of the caseband, one could then drill the ice in said prison, the; adjacent surfaces being cylindrical or slightly conical; the disassembly of the glass is effected by acting on the ring, as described above.
The invention can be applied to round or shaped boxes.
In fig. 6, the seal 3, of rectangular section, is previously placed in a recess which, in this case, is a groove 42 formed in the middle-bezel 1 of the case, partially shown; the seal bears elastically against the: on face 43 limiting the. core 42, towards the outside and the bottom 44 thereof.
The back 6 assembled in a notch at the edge 7 of the middle part acts obliquely, with respect to the plane of movement, on the edge 45 of the seal via its oblique surface, 46 and presses it against the two surfaces 43 and 44 of the core 42 of the caseband.
The housing for the seal, provided between the two parts of the box to be assembled in a sealed manner, also has its cross section large enough for this seal to change shape and extend into the annular spaces:
47 and 48 located between the two parts in question. The Test joint still shown in dotted, not deformed.
