Fig. 2 ist eine Draufsicht desselben.
Filters for wood gas generators. There are filters for wood gas generators which have a flue pipe that is used as a carrier for filter elements. The whole consisting of this exhaust pipe and these ele ments is housed in a housing, into which the gases to be cleaned are introduced.
The invention aims at such. Filters as expediently put together to make its cleaning, so take apart, to facilitate BEZW. ver to be able to carry out a few simple steps. For this purpose, according to the invention, the filter for wood gas generators, the housing of which is closed with a cover, as usual, is characterized by the fact that the exhaust pipe is a pulling element between the cover and the bottom of the housing for the sole purpose of pressing the cover against the container is trained.
It is evident from this that the cover is also released at the same time by loosening this exhaust pipe, so that all of the filter elements can be easily removed from the housing.
The drawing shows an embodiment example of a filter for wood gas generators according to the invention.
Fig. 1 shows an axial section through the entire filter.
Fig. 2 is a plan view of the same. Fig. 3 shows some filter elements on a larger scale and only partially.
The sheet metal housing 1 is cylindrical and funnel-shaped at the bottom to form the ash chamber 2. At the top, the housing is closed by a cover 3, which is provided with a wide groove 4 all around, in which a pack 5, for example asbestos, is housed .
The cover 3 has in its center a recess 6, which has a passage for the exhaust pipe 7 at the bottom and a thread at the top for a locking nut 8, which also serves to pull the exhaust pipe by means of an intermediate ring 9 against the annular bottom 10 of the Ver depression 6 to press and at the same time a cylindrical fine filter body 11 to BEFE term. The gas outlet nozzle 12 also opens into the recess 6.
The exhaust pipe 7 carries at the lower end 13 a star-shaped plate, in the middle of which a threaded bolt 14 penetrating the ash chamber 2 Ge is screwed. At the bottom, this bolt protrudes from a plate 15, which closes off the funnel-shaped ash space from below. By tightening the union nut 16, a pull is exerted on both the threaded bolt and the exhaust pipe, which presses the cover 3 against the edge of the housing and thus not only completely closes the housing, but also the pipe and the filter elements 17 stacked on it inside of the housing.
The wall of the flue pipe 7 is pierced in order to establish a connection between the gas outlet nozzle 12 and the interior of the filter elements 17 through the spacer rings 18 which are also perforated. The filter elements 17 are composed of two perforated metal fabric disks, which are welded to each other at their outer edge, while they are keeping both sides of the spacer rings in folding rings 19 ge at the edges of their central holes.
They are held apart and somewhat stiffened by a framework 20, which can be formed from a helical spring, for example.
The filter elements 17 are stacked on the exhaust pipe from. A sheet metal cylinder 21 is pushed over the whole, which widens towards the housing cover somewhat and is based on an inner bead 22 of the housing jacket. For this purpose, the top diameter of this sheet metal cylinder is only slightly different from that of the housing opening, so that both upper edges, that of the housing and that of the sheet metal cylinder. are covered together by the pack 5.
A hollow cylindrical space 23 is left between the sheet metal cylinder and the housing jacket, into which the gas inlet nozzle .24 opens tangentially. This space is made by a self-tapping screw 25 to form a helical channel which opens into the ash chamber provided with a cleaning hatch 26.
The gases arriving through the inlet connection 21 are first freed from the coarsest solid components by the cyclonic movement caused by the helical channel. These fall into the ash room. Once there, the gases have to reverse 180 ° to get to the filter elements. Through the wall of the flue pipe they go into the interior of the latter, where they still have to pass the tubular fine filter body, which is also made of metal fabric, in order to get to the gas outlet nozzle.
By removing the lock nut 8, this fine filter body is exposed. In operation, its condition is a measure of how the filter elements work. There is always an easy way to check the entire filter.
By loosening the union nut 16, the exhaust pipe and with it the end cover is free. With the latter, the entire set of filter elements can be removed from the housing.
