L'objet du brevet principal est un palier de ce genre comprenant un support de palier, un coussinet mobile disposé librement dans un évidement de ce support et dans un alé sage duquel est ajusté un pivot de mobile dont le tigeron passe librement, avec de l'ébat axial et radial, au travers d'une ouverture ménagée dans le fond dudit support;
Ehoes damper bearing for mobile clock movements and the like. The subject of the invention is a shock-absorbing bearing for clockwork movement mobiles, more particularly, but not exclusively for watch movement balance axles.
The object of the main patent is a bearing of this kind comprising a bearing support, a movable pad arranged freely in a recess of this support and in a random part of which is adjusted a movable pivot whose shank passes freely, with l 'axial and radial opening, through an opening made in the bottom of said support;
finally, a movable member, for example a counterpivot kitten, guided, tending to maintain itself in a centered position under the action of at least one damping spring and intended to cooperate with said pad so as to always tend to maintain or to bring the latter back to its normal centered position, these two organs (kitten with counterpivot and cushion) reacting on each other, one by a convex spherical surface, the other by a circular ridge. The purpose of the bearing, which is the object of the present invention, is to reduce the height of the bearing as much as possible and to improve the lubrication conditions of the pivot, in order to adapt the bearing preferably to the pivot pivots of small-format watch movements.
It is characterized in that the movable organ reacting by a convex surface on a circular edge of the other movable member is a hemispherical counterpivot driven into a movable kitten adjusted freely and without frolics, by an adjustment in the form of a spherical zone, in a cylindrical recess of the bearing support, the spherical zone-shaped fitting surface of said kitten being concentric with the hemispherical surface of the counterpivot.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, two embodiments of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 shows, in axial section, a balance bearing located on the side of the cock; this section passes through the line I-I-I of FIG. at; the fi-. 2 shows, in axial section, the opposite bearing located on the side of the plate (dial), this section passing through line II-II of FIG. 4; figs. 3 and 4 show, in plan and on a smaller scale, the damping springs inserted respectively in the bearings shown in FIGS. 1 and 2.
In fig. 1, we distinguish the board 5 of the rooster, the cockerel 6 fitted in a round opening 7 of said board and fixed thereto by two screws 6 ', only one of which is shown in the drawing. This cockle, which forms the support or cage of the bearing, has a cylindrical recess 8 whose flat bottom is drilled in the center of a round hole 9 providing clearance with play to the shank 10 of the balance shaft 11. The pivot 12 of the axis is fitted in the central hole of a cylindrical bearing 13 having a wide bevel and, in the middle, a cylindrical recess 13 'forming an oiler.
This pad, for example made of precious stone, is arranged freely on the flat horizontal bottom of the recess 8, so that it can move there radially.
The axis 11 of the balance has a certain axial bearing, between a bearing surface of this axis and the coqueret 6. A radial bearing is provided between the shank 10 of the axis and the wall of the hole 9.
A relatively small hemispherical counterpivot 15 is placed on the circular ridge of the oiler 13 ', so that it closes the oiler 13' by its convex surface. This counterpivot, for example made of precious stone, is driven into a round opening centered on a 15 'annular bezel adjusted freely and without flapping, by an adjustment in the form of a spherical zone, in the entry of the recess 8 of the box. - quarrel. This kitten has a conical recess 16 below, into which the pad 13 penetrates via its bevelled face. The result of this interpenetration of the members 13 and 15 ′ results in a significant saving in height.
On the large base of the kitten 15 ′ rests a large dummy counterpivot 17, with a mental adornment effect. The latter, relatively flat and slightly convex, does not fulfill any technical function, but gives the bearing a beautiful decorative aspect, because it is generally made of a natural or artificial precious stone (ruby). The dummy counterpivot 17 is held by the damping spring 18 housed in a recess 19 of the jack. This spring is shown in plan in FIG. 3.
It comprises an annular serge, fixed to the shell 6 by two assembly screws 6 ', only one of which is visible in FIG. 1, and forms two tabs 18 'springing and bearing on the curved part of the dummy counterpivot, to hold it, as well as the kitten 15'.
The latter, whose adjustment in the form of a spherical zone is concentric with the hemispherical surface of the counterpivot 15, can tilt and oscillate in all directions, by pivoting around the center of said counterpivot, and even be lifted, at the 'against the shock absorber spring, under the effect of a lateral, axial or oblique impact which could be transmitted by the pivot 12 or, indirectly, by the pad 13. But the shock absorber spring reacts elastically, straightens the kitten and always tightens to maintain or return the bearing 13 to its normal centered position, while absorbing the shock to prevent as far as possible the breakage or deformation of the pivot.
The kitten could also remain slightly inclined without altering the centering of the pad 13, and without the contact between the end of the pivot 12 and the counterpivot 15 being altered. During an axial impact, the pivot 12 abuts against the counterpivot mistletoe reacts elastically since it is fixed in the kitten. As for radial or oblique shocks, very dangerous for the integrity of the pivot, they are damped by the elastic lifting of the kitten, given that the reaction of the hemispherical counterpivot 15 and of the circular edge of the pad 13, one on the other tends to make the kitten move back or to communicate a couple to it and, therefore, to tilt it.
The oiler 13 ', formed by the bearing 13, is completely closed by the counterpivot 15; it is practically so small that a drop of oil of normal volume is enough to fill it completely. The second embodiment (fig. 2) is a bearing for the posterior pivot (plate side) of the balance.
In this figure, the parts and members of the bearing are designated by the same reference numerals, with a few exceptions, as the corresponding parts and members of the opposite bearing shown in FIG. 1.
The support or bearing cage 20 is mounted in a round opening 21 of the plate 22 of the frame of the movement and is fixed there by means of a clamping screw 6 '.
In the cylindrical recess 8 of this cage is adjusted freely and without splitting, by an adjustment in the form of a spherical zone, the kitten 15 ', in which is driven the hemispherical counter-pivot 15. This bearing does not include any artificial counter-pivot, since it is hidden under the dial.
The crescent-shaped damper spring 2, 3, is fixed to the cage 20 by the clamping screw 6 '. I1 is shown in isolation, on a smaller scale and seen in plan, in fig. 4. Its elastically flexible ends bear directly on the kitten 15 'to hold it, as well as the pad 13, and absorb shocks by reacting elastically to it.
