Firearm with 1V binding brake. The machine weapons commonly used up to now are automated up to a caliber of about 40 mm. The ammunition is usually housed in a magazine that accommodates a number of cartridges and this magazine is placed on the weapon. The to drove from the magazine into the cartridge chamber of the tube then takes place through the cartridges individually from the magazine comb the closure or another correspond to the feed organ.
In the case of guns with barrel recoil, the arrangement of springs or friction brake sets ensures that as the elevation increases, the barrel, which is thrown back with greater momentum due to the increasing influence of gravity, nevertheless reverses at the prescribed point, which is dependent on the position of the magazine therefore means that its return does not continue over the prescribed length.
If one wants to automate weapons of larger caliber, the problem arises that the multiple impulses resulting from gravity can no longer be controlled with the means used in automatic weapons, that is, can be rendered harmless.
It is true that the most varied means have become known in order to allow the barrel to return continuously for all elevations in the case of non-automatic weapons. These funds mostly use the hydraulic return brake already present in these weapons and are therefore not applicable to weapons without such devices.
However, especially when automating larger calibers, there is a need for a return control which acts in the specified sense and which does not act in conjunction with a return brake, since such a brake may be superfluous at all.
The subject of the present invention is a firearm, which is characterized in that it has a controllable, variable in its effect on the barrel Mün training brake. The muzzle brake can now be conveniently controlled by elevating the barrel or by other hand-operated means. The muzzle brake can consist of two nested, mutually adjustable, zy-cylindrical parts provided with slots.
In this case, both parts expediently have rows of slots with differently shaped seat braids, so that differently shaped rows of slots correspond to one another by appropriate rotation of one or the other part. This then results in a change in the effect of the muzzle brake, both in terms of the magnitude of the effect and the direction of action, and the muzzle brake can thus be turned into a recoil amplifier.
The adjustment of the individual parts themselves can expediently take place by means of a linkage which is mounted telescopically in the cradle-fixed parts and is operated from the cradle plate pin.
In the accompanying drawings, some exemplary Ausfüh approximately forms of the subject matter of the invention are shown in FIGS. 1 shows the schematic representation of a weapon, FIG. 2 the barrel and the device that actuates the muzzle brake, FIG. 3 a view of FIG. 2, FIG. 4 a section through the muzzle brake, FIGS 8 different positions of the muzzle brake in section,
9 shows a section through the muzzle brake with the drive device, FIG. 10 shows a second embodiment of the muzzle brake in section, FIGS. 11 and 12 show a third embodiment of the muzzle brake in section and view, FIGS. 13 and 14 show a fourth embodiment the muzzle brake in section.
In Fig. 1, 1 denotes the pipe which is besieged on a mount 2 backwardly. The tube has a muzzle brake 3 at the front, which via the shaft 4, which is mounted telescopically in the cradle-like parts, is not raised by a tube located on the trunnion. participating tooth segment 5 is controlled. The tube 1 is stored in a cradle 6. As he can be seen from Fig. 2, engages a bevel wheel 8 seated on the muzzle brake controlling shaft 4 in the fixed toothed segment 5.
The shaft 4 is mounted on the tube 1 and slides at the rear in bearings 9 of the lafette-fixed part 10. The telescopic transition from the tube's own to the weight-adequate shaft part enables the tube to return without impairing the controlling tooth engagement on the trunnion.
In the fug. 4 to 9 an embodiment of the muzzle brake is shown in different sections. A body 15 screwed onto the tube 1 has, as FIG. 5 shows, a number of rows of slots, for example the rows of slots 11, 1.2, 13 and 14. The rows of slots 13 and 14, seen in the direction of the tube, are bent forward, while the slits 11 and 12, seen in the direction of the tube, are guided to the rear.
A cylindrical body 16 is placed around the tube and is rotatable on the body 15 screwed with the tube 1. The cylindrical body 16 has a toothed extension 17 which engages in a gear 18 seated on the shaft 4. The cylin drical body 16 now also has, for example, four rows of slots 19,? 0, 21, 22, of which the rows of slots 19 and? 0 respectively. 21 and 22 are diametrically opposite, the seat strand D, 21 bPzw. 20, 22, however, are immediately adjacent to one another.
The slots 19, 20 are, seen in the direction of the tube, bent backwards, while the slots 21, 22, seen in the direction of the tube, are bent forward.
When rotating the shaft 4 respectively. of the gear 18, the cylindrical body 16 also rotates on the body 15 screwed onto the tube 1; so that the slots 19, 20, which are initially in front of the slots 13, 14 in the position shown in FIG. 4, are shifted and finally the position shown in FIG. 9 is reached, in which the slots 11, 12 in front of the slots 11, 12 Slots 21, 22 come to lie.
In Fig. 10, in contrast to the embodiment shown in FIGS. 4 to 9, the movable cylindrical part through the shaft 4 and the toothed wheel 18 is not placed outside around a cylindrical body screwed onto the tube, but arranged within this body . This embodiment, which otherwise fully corresponds to that according to FIGS. 4 to 9, has the advantage that the movable union parts are secured to an increased extent against contamination.
11 and 12, a cylindrical body 23 is screwed by means of Ge thread 24 on the tube 1, which has several slots 25 on the circumference. On the Kör by 23 a front end piece @ 26 is screwed by means of thread 27, which has on its inside a, ge in the direction of the pipe, bulging shape to the rear. On the body 23 a ring 28 is rotatably provided, the front end face of which, seen in the direction of the tube, forms a curved surface 29 which merges continuously from a curved forward shape into a rearwardly guided shape.
The ring 28 has at its rear end a ring gear 30, in which the gear 18 of the shaft 4 engages.
In FIGS. 13 and 14, a cylindrical body 31 is again screwed onto the tube 1 by means of a thread 32. This body 31 has slot-like recesses 33 in which the shaped pieces 34 slide with extensions 38. To the body 31 a Ge threaded bushing 35 is placed, which has threads 36 and 37 on the right and left. With the Ge thread 36, the sleeve 35 is screwed to the cylin drical body 31, while the differently directed thread 37 in the threaded extensions 38 equipped with Ge, with which the fittings are guided in the slots 33, engages.
The front of the cylindrical body 31 in turn has a terminating piece 39 which, as seen in the direction of the tube, has a curved shape 40 that extends backwards.
The mode of operation of the individual embodiments is briefly as follows: In the exemplary embodiments according to FIGS. 4 to 9, the effect of the muzzle brake is greatest in the position shown in FIG. 4, that is, the gases are passed through the corresponding slots 14, 19 respectively. 13, 20 passed into the open and press the tube forward accordingly to the shape of these slots.
If the elevation of the gun now becomes smaller, the outer ring is rotated via the shaft 4 and the gearwheel 18 in such a way that the slots initially become smaller and smaller. The effect of the escaping gases on the pipe is consequently also less and less.
Finally, in the position shown in FIG. 9, which approximately corresponds to the horizontal position of the pipe or its depression position, the effect is. the muzzle brake exactly the other way around by according to the shape of the slots 11, 21 respectively. 12, 22 the escaping gases no longer push the pipe forwards, but backwards.
The effect of the muzzle brake in the position according to FIG. 4 is therefore opposite to that according to FIG. 9.
In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 10, the mode of operation is exactly the same as in the exemplary embodiments according to FIGS. 4 to 9.
In the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 11 and 12, the outer ring 28 is rotated by rotating the shaft 4, and consequently a different shape of the end face 29 always comes before the slots 25. As if by reason. 12, the effect of the exiting gases can be reversed from one that propels the pipe into one that propels the pipe back.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 13 and 14, finally, by rotating the sleeve 35 through the thread 37, the fitting 34 is respectively forward. led to the rear. In this case, with a forward movement, the fittings 34, the channels 41 become smaller and smaller, while the channels 42 become larger and larger. The effect of the muzzle brake can therefore also be changed here. Instead of the adjustment device described, the shaped piece 34 can be adjusted directly in the axial direction of the pipe by means of a pull rod that replaces the shaft 4.
With the muzzle brakes shown in various examples, it is now possible, for every elevation of the barrel, to ensure that the return flow of the barrel remains constant. Of course, further examples of the design of the muzzle brake could be given without difficulty, without thereby departing from the concept of the invention.
