Bei derartigen Einrichtungen zum Fördern von Rüben und dergleichen ist es bekannt, die Förder schnecke in einem Trog bezw. in einer Rinne anzuordnen, wobei die offene Seite zur Zu führung des Waschgutes und auch dem Ein- und Ausbau der Schnecke sowie zur Be hebung allfälliger Verstopfungen dient;

Facility for pumping up and washing fruit. The invention relates to a device for upward conveying and washing of fruit by means of a screw conveyor submerged in a washing pit.
In such devices for conveying beets and the like, it is known that the conveyor screw BEZW in a trough. to be arranged in a channel, the open side being used to feed the items to be washed and also to install and remove the screw and to clear any blockages;
There is a risk of stones or the like being trapped, which can cause blockages and serious damage as well as breakdowns. Furthermore, the lifting and washing of beets and other alluvium is well known, a compressed air jet pump being provided for sucking in and conveying the washing water, etc. in the line system; this makes the system, which is also at risk of clogging, expensive to purchase and to operate.
In devices for conveying dry, granular to powdery bulk goods, such as, for example, grain, cement, etc., by means of a screw, it is known to arrange these in a conveying pipe that closes them all around.
According to the invention, the conveyed material is sucked out of the washing ditch and raised by the conveying screw in a conveying pipe surrounding it all around, through its lower mouth with the generated liquid flow, and the casing of the conveying pipe is perforated, expediently, in order to return the conveying flow into the washing pit through longitudinal slots.
As a result, fruit can be conveyed in a relatively simple manner and without the risk of clogging, for example vertically upwards, for example directly to a mill, with the help of the washing liquid, where it is further cleaned on its way and the washing liquid used does not remain in contact with the items to be washed for an undesired time .
The cleaning effect can be supported by hurling the washing liquid out of the jacket slots in the delivery pipe, and the washing liquid falling back into the pit also contributes to increasing the cleaning effect; A further increase in the degree of cleaning can be achieved by introducing washing liquid in countercurrent into the delivery pipe. Due to their weight, stones and the like remain at the bottom of the pit, where they do not pose any danger.
Fruit juice production requires thorough cleaning of the fruit to be ground, especially for the production of sweet must, if only because this is the only way to produce a clear must that is free of residue.
In the drawing, two execution examples of the subject invention are illustrated.
Fig. 1 shows in section the first example with a vertically arranged screw conveyor. FIG. 2 is a top view, FIG. 3 is a cross section along the line III-III of FIG. 1.
4 shows a view of the lower part of the conveyor pipe, FIG. 5 shows the second example with an inclined conveyor screw, FIG. 6 shows a cross section along the line VI-VI of FIG. 5 and FIG. 7 shows the lower part of the Conveying pipes in view.
It denotes 1 the screw conveyor, which is enclosed by the cylinder 2 forming the conveyor pipe, which has a lateral outlet nozzle 3 at the upper end and is closed by means of a cover 4. On the ceiling 4, the drive shaft 6 is in a double th bearing 5. fixed and loose pulley 7 respectively. 8 arranged. The drive shaft 6 transmits its rotational movement through a bevel gear 9 to the shaft 10 of the screw conveyor 1.
The shaft 10 of the screw conveyor 1 is mounted with its upper end in the ceiling 4 of the cylinder 2 and with its lower end in an economy bearing 11, which in the first example is on a bow-shaped, on the cylinder 2 in front.

An increase in the cleaning effect is still possible if the tap 16 is placed on the upper part of the Cylinder 2 is closed water line 17 is opened, whereby the laundry in cylinder 2 fresh water is supplied in countercurrent.
The laundry reached, freed from the water taken as much as possible, the outlet nozzle 3 to get into the A funnel 18 of a mill. The speed of the screw conveyor 1 is selected so that the suction force generated is not sufficient to lift solid foreign bodies lying on the bottom of the pit 13.
The screw 1 closes flush with the cylinder 2 at the bottom, which promotes the suction effect and prevents damage to the washing good flowing into the cylinder 2. Since only a relatively narrow space is left be through the support bracket 12 between the bottom of the pit 13 and the lower end of the cylinder 2, a complete emptying of the pit 13 of items to be washed is possible to end the work. At the bottom of the pit 13 is a drain 19 (Fig. 4) is arranged, which can be opened by a handle provided with a hand 20 plug to allow the water in the pit to drain.
The in the second example (Fig. 5-7) obliquely arranged conveyor has on Zy cylinder 2 only in which the washing pit 13 facing lower circumferential half longitudinal slots 15 for the exit of the working process from the pit 13 sucked water. Furthermore, the support device 12 of the cylinder 2 has a horizontal pivot axis 21, which makes it possible to change the angle of inclination of the conveyor BEZW. set in relation to the loading point, including (not shown) on the cylinder 2 effective setting means are provided.
The pivot axis 21 carries the thrust bearing 11, which receives the lower end of the shaft 10 of the screw conveyor 1.
As is readily apparent, the elevator in the sense of the explained examples allows a clean operation. The advantages of the design of the elevator in accordance with the invention come into effect when it is used to load the fruit mill of a packing press, in which the fruit is only packed and pressed once, while with basket presses the pomace created is after the first pressing is pressed out in a second pressing; However, marc must not come into contact with water, which is why there are special conditions for its extraction.
Instead of being provided only in the lower part of the cylinder 2, the longitudinal slots 15 could also extend up to its entire length. Here, for example, the cylinder could be formed from sticking out the wooden rods, which would be connected to each other in places by circumferential tires like a press basket. The entry of the water flowing in countercurrent with respect to the sucked in water by means of the line 17 would have to occur at such a height that a part of the cylinder still remains free for the desired dripping of the water from the laundry.
This opening into the cylinder 2 Lei device 17 can be arranged on the circumference of the cylinder at any point; it can also be inclined downwards or diagonally upwards or tangential or in the direction of the chord on the cylinder.
The height conveyor according to the invention is used for other similarly constituted BEZW except for fruit. when conveying similarly behaving laundry items in Be.
