Description
Condensate drain with shut-off valve controlled by a bimetal expansion body. The invention relates to a further training from the condensate drain according to claim of the main patent and has the task of developing a drain whose expansion body it is heated relatively quickly and therefore responds quickly.
The subject of the invention is accordingly a condensate drain according to the patent claim of the main patent, which is characterized in that the bimetallic tongue is divided into several stacked packets, separated by air gaps and consisting of superimposed bimetal plates.
In the drawing, an example embodiment of the subject invention is shown schematically.
The condensate drain has a housing b with an inlet connection a and a condensation outlet connection q. The body e, which contains the valve seat bushing, e f, is screwed into the outlet connection q.
The stem w of the valve bears the valve cone v with the seat y, at the bottom, while its upper end engages the lowest link of the chain d, the uppermost link of which on the bolt < B> d is attached, which in turn is fixed to the package c, the bimetallic tongue.
The bimetallic tongue consists of three packets cl, ez and c3, which are arranged one above the other and are held at a distance from one another by the spacer plates p1 and p2, which are fastened by means of the screw s to the support t, which in turn is screwed to the housing b by means of the screw s2 .
The spacer plates p1 are fastened to the carrier t by means of the screws s, while the spacer plates p2 are connected to one of the adjacent packages. Otherwise, the relationships are those specified in the claim of the main patent.
The division of the expansion body into several relatively thin bimetal tongues has the effect that these individual parts heat up more quickly and that they respond more quickly. The same is caused by the air gaps between the bimetallic packages, into which the steam can flow.
Finally, this effect is further supported by the shortening of the bimetallic pallet from top to bottom as shown in the drawing.
The bimetallic tongue could also be divided into two packages instead of three.
