Werkzeugmaschine, insbesondere Gewindeschleifmaschine.

Fig. 12 zeigt die Eingriffsver- hältnisse beim Rücklauf.
Machine tool, in particular thread grinding machine. In machine tools for the production of precise threads, in particular thread grinding machines, in which the work tool or workpiece slide, depending on the workpiece spindle rotation, is driven by a lead screw in the. Arbeitsvor thrust is moved longitudinally, it is desirable to return the slide quickly to the starting position after the work step has been completed and after the tool has been brought out of engagement with the workpiece in order to reduce the dead times.
The return speed of the slide is a multiple of the working speed. The lead screw heats up as a result of the increased friction in the threaded nut and undergoes a corresponding expansion. This is transferred to the workpiece in the form of a gradient inaccuracy, which is not acceptable, especially when the workpiece is long. The invention is based on the object of preventing the lead screw spindle from heating up during the rapid return of the slide.
One solution would be to design the lead screw nut as a half nut or, as in the case of lathes, as a nut lock and to lift it out when the carriage returns. However, this training requires that the reinsertion of the lead screw nut takes place in a very specific position from lead screw nut to lead screw, namely in the position in which the threaded nut fits into the lead screw again.
This can only be solved by means of permanent means. Furthermore, it is not advantageous to .the lead screw nut because of the required lifting movement from the lead screw in the vertical direction to be movable; Rather, in precision machine tools, a rigid mounting of the lead screw nut is necessary for producing threads.
The invention relates to a machine tool with a rotating work spindle, in particular a thread grinding machine, in which the tool or workpiece face is moved lengthways by a lead screw spindle in the working feed rate depending on the workpiece spindle rotation and is characterized in that for the rapid return of the slide is activated depending on the workpiece spindle rotation,
there is an ineffective rapid reverse gear during the operation and that artificial play is provided. which is matched to the backlash with which the lead screw 1. r ifts into the threaded nut, so that when switching to rapid return, the rapid return gear comes into action before the lead screw has the backlash in its threaded nut has overcome
so that the lead screw spindle rotates in its threaded nut without flank contact during rapid return.
In this way it is possible to protect the lead screw, which is decisive for the pitch accuracy of the workpiece, from harmful heating.
On the drawing execution examples of the subject invention are Darge provides. 1 shows the diagram of the drive for the workpiece slide of a thread grinding machine, FIG. 2 shows the engagement of the lead screw in the threaded nut during the operation, FIG. 3 shows the engagement of the lead screw in: the screw nut during rapid return, 4 shows a plan view along section line II of FIG. 1, FIG. 5 shows a modification of the transmission according to FIG. 1, FIG. 6 shows another exemplary embodiment.

The arrangement of the switching contacts of an electrical switch actuated by the actuating device according to FIGS. 9 and 10 can be seen from the circuit diagram.
In the thread grinding machine shown in FIGS. 1-3, which is designed for long grinding lengths, the workpiece slide 1 executes the longitudinal feed movement with respect to the grinding wheel S on the machine bed 2. The workpiece spindle 3 is mounted in the workpiece spindle box 4 built on the carriage 1. The drive of the plant; - piece spindle takes place from a speed change gear 5 operated by an electric motor.
During the grinding process, the drive goes via the shaft 6 and the worm 7 to the worm wheel 8, which can be coupled to the shaft 10 by means of the longitudinally displaceable coupling sleeve 9. On the shaft 10, the worm 11 is fastened, which drives the worm wheel 12 seated on the workpiece spindle 3. During the rapid return, the drive goes from the shaft 6 via the gear 1: 3, the intermediate gear 14, to the gear 1.5 on the shaft 16. This carries at the other end the bevel gear 17, which is connected to the bevel gear 1.8 on the shaft 1.0 combs.
The coupling sleeve 9 couples the bevel gear 18 with the shaft 10 during rapid return, so that bypassing the worm gear 7, 8, the workpiece spindle 3 rotates many times faster than in the work process.
The gear 19, which meshes with the gear 20 on the shaft 21, sits on the workpiece spindle 3. On the other end of the shaft 21 is the change gear 22, which drives the lead screw 26 mounted in the carriage 1 via the change gears 23, 24, 25. This is in engagement with the nut 27 attached to the machine bed.
The gearwheel 28, the hub 28 'of which has a rectangular recess 29, into which the tooth 30 of a coupling sleeve 31 attached to the shaft of the spindle 26 engages with backlash y, sits loosely rotatably on the lead screw spindle 26. The parts 28 ', 31 form the ge in the drive of the rapid return gear claw clutch, the teeth of which have the artificial' game y.
The gear 28 drives the gear 33 via the intermediate gear 32 on the shaft 34, which carries the helical gear 35 at the other end. This meshes with the helical gear 36 on the shaft 37, which is also mounted in the slide 1. On the shaft 37 sits the pinion 38, which meshes with a rack 39 fastened to the machine bed 2 th.
The pinion 38 has an overrunning clutch 40 via which it is coupled to the shaft 37. The transmission ratio of the helical gear pair 35, 36 corresponds to the transmission ratio between the thread pitch of the spindle 26 and the pinion 38.
By deriving .des drive for Idas toothed pinion of the rapid return gear consisting of pinion 38 and rack 39. from the lead screw there is, as ersicht Lich, a fixed transmission ratio that is independent of the change gears attached to the lead screw. Otherwise, a second set of exchangeable gears for the reverse gear would have to be plugged in directly from the workpiece spindle driven by the rapid reverse gear every time the thread pitch changes.
During the grinding process, as shown in FIG. 1, the worm gear 7, 8 is engaged and the screw spindle gear 26, 7 moves the slide 1 in a feed rate corresponding to the thread gradient of the workpiece W depending on the workpiece spindle rotation Grinding wheel 8 over. The left thread flank of the lead screw 26 is supported on the right flank of the thread of the nut 2.7. Between the right lead screw spindle flank and the left nut flank, there is intentionally a considerable flank play of the amount 2x (cf.
Fe. 2) seen before. The pinion 38 rolls up idly during the grinding process due to the overrunning clutch 40, and the rack 39 rolls off. As can be seen, the rapid reverse gear is actuated depending on the workpiece spindle rotation and is ineffective during the operation.
If the bevel gear 1! 8 in the workpiece spindle drive is coupled through the sleeve 9, the workpiece spindle 3 rotates, and thus the lead screw spindle 26, in the opposite direction at rapid traverse. Since the one-tooth clutch M ', 31. The artificial play y as well as the! Play in the gears 28, 32, 313, 35, 3! 6, 3.8, which games taken together are smaller than the backlash of the screw spindle gear 26, 27 are, has to be overcome, before the backlash 2x of the screw spindle gear 2'6, 27 is overcome, the rapid reverse gear 38, 39 in action.
While the: slide 1 is moved back in rapid return by the rack and pinion gearing 38, 39, the lead screw spindle 2, 6 is rotating idle, ie. H. without flank contact in the threaded nut 2.7. This position is shown in Fig. 3, where the games performed are together equal to game x.
During the rapid return of the slide 1, the lead screw 2'6 therefore does not experience any heating and each grinding pass is carried out with the same feed accuracy.
It is also possible to omit the Einzahnkupp ment 28 ', 31 and instead artificially dimension the play in the gear transmission 28, 3, 2, 33, 35, 36 so that the rack gear 38, 39 comes into operation when switching to rapid return , before the backlash is overcome twice in the screw spindle; gear 26, 27 , so that the lead screw 2, 6 turns during the return run without touching the flank in the spindle nut 27.
So here artificial play is provided in the drive wheels for the rapid reverse gear.
In the example according to FIG. 5, the freewheel coupling 40 is omitted in the pinion 38 and the single-tooth coupling 31 ', 31 with tooth 31l is provided in its place. The backlash y of the single-tooth clutch allows the pinion 3: 8 to idle on the rack 39 during the grinding process, since when switching from the return to the grinding process, the thread flanks of the lead screw gear 26, 7 have to overcome a smaller clearance than the backlash y of the single-tooth clutch.
The lead screw 2'6 then drives the slide 1 in the grinding pass, during which the pinion 38 mounted in the slide 1 is not driving, since the single-tooth coupling 31 ', 31 assumes the position shown in FIG. In this position, the tooth 30 is not in driving contact with the pinion 38.
Instead of the rapid return gear consisting of pinion 38 and rack 3'9, a screw spindle gear can also be used as rapid reverse gear. Such an embodiment is shown in FIG. In addition to the lead screw spindle 26 for the work feed, a second screw spindle 41 is mounted in the slide 1. It is also with a backlash 2x with the attached to the machine bed 2 Ge threaded nut 42 in engagement. The parts 41, 42 here form the rapid reverse gear.
It is driven by the gearwheel 28 on the lead screw 26 via: the intermediate gear 43 and the gearwheel 44. The gears 28, 44 have a gear ratio of 1: 1. The threaded spindles 26, 41 therefore have the same thread pitch and, because of the intermediate wheel 43, the same: pitch direction. Depending on the structural conditions, you can omit the intermediate gear 43 and bring the gears 28, 44 directly into a handle.
The pitch direction of the two threaded spindles must then be directed in opposite directions. The gear 28 sits loosely on the spindle 26 and is rotated by: the single-tooth clutch 28 ', 31 with the backlash y. It then comes about the same effect as in the case of the games according to Fig. 1 - J5.
During the grinding process, the left flank of the lead screw 26 is supported on the right flank of the threaded nut 27, while the screw spindle 41 rotates in the threaded nut 42 without flank contact. This is shown in FIG. 7. During rapid return there rotates against the lead screw 26 freely in the threaded nut 27, while the screw spindle 41 comes into flank contact with the nut 42 and moves the carriage backward in rapid gear.
The conditions of engagement of both spindles during. of the rapid return are shown in FIG. It can be seen that the leading thread spindle 2'6, which is decisive for: the accuracy of the thread pitch on the workpiece, does not heat up during the return movement. Instead of the single-tooth clutch 28 ', 31, the backlash in the drive wheels 28, 43, 44 can be dimensioned in such a way that the engagement conditions shown in FIGS. 7 and 8 come about.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 6, the single-tooth clutch '2i8', 31, whose game y is to be measured taking into account the flank game in the screw drive 41, 42, is also omitted and the toothed wheel 28 is firmly coupled to the lead screw 26. That is, the backlash: of the screw spindle drive 41, 42 z.
B. equal to the backlash of the screw spindle drive 2: 6, 27, so are reversed at the end of the movement: first the flanks of the rapid return spindle 41 come to rest in the nut 42 because they have to overcome a smaller backlash from the idle position than the flanks of the lead screw 26 in the nut 2: 7,:
which would overcome the entire backlash. On the other hand, when the movement is reversed at the end of the return, the lead screw 26 in the nut 27 will first reach the flank contact, while the spindle 41 moves into the idle position.
If the working direction is to be changed, the drive connection between the lead screw gear and the rapid return gear must be released and the lead screw or the reverse gear parts rotated until the opposite thread flanks of the gear part come into effective contact in their counterpart. In order to be able to change the working direction of the slide 1 with a simple handle, both execution forms according to Fig.
1-5 either the Ge threaded nut 27 or the rack 39- and in the embodiment according to FIG. 6 ent neither the threaded nut 27 or the threaded nut 42 by the amount of the total backlash 2x of the screw spindle gear arranged axially displaceable.
In the embodiment of FIGS. 9 and 10, the rapid reverse gear is a screw spindle gear. In the example shown in Fig. 9 and 10, the mothers 27 of the lead screw 2-6 and the nut 42, the screw spindle 41 for the rapid return run on top of each other in a housing 45 attached to the machine bed. The spindle 41 is driven from the spindle 26 via the gears 28 and 44. The .Spindel 41 therefore has the opposite direction of slope as the spindle 26.
For example, the spindle 26 has right-hand threads and the spindle 41 has left-hand threads. The threaded nut 27 is mounted in the housing 45 so that it can rotate but is secured against longitudinal displacement, while the threaded nut 42 is mounted in the housing 45 so that it can rotate and move longitudinally.
On the outer circumference of the nut 2 7 a worm gear toothing 46 is introduced, with which a worm 47 is in a grip. The worm 47 is also with a helical gear. 48 on the 'Ge threaded nut 42 in engagement. The wheel 46 and wheel 48 have the same pitch circle diameter and the same number of teeth. The worm 47 can be rotated by a handwheel (not shown) located on the control station.
This device allows small longitudinal movements of the grinding carriage 1 and is used to insert the grinding tool into a pre-machined thread on the workpiece. In order to transfer the amount of shifting movements to a display device, an auxiliary threaded nut 49 is provided which is mounted on the cover 50 of the housing 45 in such a way that it is secured against rotation, but can perform a slight longitudinal displacement.
Against the end face of the auxiliary screw nut 49 is applied; Lever 51 .an, which transmits the axial movement of the nut 49 to a dial gauge or the like. Which is arranged on the operator's stand. This device is not described in detail since it has nothing to do with the present invention.
On the threaded nut 42 eats a shift sleeve 52, in which an eccentric 53 engages (in Fig. 9 dashed lines drawn net). The eccentric sits on a shaft 54 which is mounted on the front wall of the machine bed. It is operated by a handle ä5. On the Exzen terwelle 54 sits a bevel gear 56 which meshes with a bevel gear 57 which is coupled to the contact roller of an electrical Sehalters 58.
The mode of operation of the embodiment according to FIGS. 9 and 10 is shown in FIGS. 11 to 14. For example, the backlash of the lead screw 2! 6 in the threaded nut 27 is 2x. The rapid return spindle 41 is in engagement with its threaded nut 42 with the same artificial flank play.
According to FIG. 11, the grinding process starts from the operator's station. seen from left to right. The left flanks of the lead screw 26 are supported on the right flanks of the threaded nut 27. The rapid return spindle 41 is without flank contact with the flanks of the nut 42.
There is backlash x on both sides. The threaded nut 42 is fixed in the axial direction by the eccentric 53, which is in the position shown. The lever 55 rests against a stop 60 in this position. The stroke of the eccentric 53 is equal to the largest backlash of the rapid return gear, in this case 2x.
If at the end of the grinding process the rotary movement of the two screw spindle gears is changed mechanically or electrically and the rapid traverse is switched, the return spindle 41 arrives first. in flanks contact with the nut 42 and drives the slide 1 in rapid traverse, the lead screw 26 has moved into the idle position, i.e. H. -It rotates, I during the return of slide 1 without flank contact; in the nut 27. FIG. 12 shows the engagement conditions during the return movement. If at the end of the return path switched to grinding again, the engagement ratios according to FIG. 11 come about again.
The grinding direction is determined by whether grinding of the workpiece is started from the tailstock side or from the workpiece headstock side. With the same workpiece, the same grinding direction is maintained for all grinding strokes.
If the grinding direction is to be changed when grinding a different type of workpiece, for example at the end of the return travel based on the engagement conditions according to FIG. 1'2, the eccentric 53 is pivoted away from the stop 60 by 180 so that the lever 55 against the Stop 59 is applied.
By pivoting the eccentric 53, the threaded nut 42 is shifted twice to the right, so that the right flanks of the threaded nut 42 come into contact with the left flanks of the return spindle 41, while the lead screw 26 is in the middle between the flanks of the Mother 27 stops. If the drive is now switched on in order to move the slide to the left in the grinding process, the leading thread spindle 2! 6 comes first, since it has to overcome the smaller backlash with its nut 27, while the return spindle 41 in the idle position wanders. This is illustrated in Fig. 1.3.
If at the end of the grinding pass it is switched to rapid return, the return spindle 41 comes first, since it has to overcome the smaller flank play, to the flank system with the nut 42 and drives the carriage 1 in rapid return to the starting position; Rotates during the return movement, see the spindle 26 empty in the nut 27. The engagement relationships are shown in FIG. 11. In order to make the change of the grinding direction, only a simple flip of the lever 55 is required.
The eccentric can also be turned over when the 'spindle 41 is in the idle position (see FIG. 11). Then, after moving the nut 42 by half the backlash, the carriage 1 is axially displaced over the spindle 41 by the remaining backlash so that the spindle 26 reaches out of flank contact with the nut 27.
The longitudinal displacement of the threaded nut -12 in its bearing in the housing 45 is not hindered by the gear t8. Because. this is designed with a helical toothing, the pitch angle of which corresponds to the pitch angle of the worm 47. The slight rotation of the nut 42 that occurs is practically insignificant.
In a modification of the example described, both threaded nuts 2 7 and 4'2 could be axially displaced at the same time in opposite directions by the amount of half the largest backlash. However, it is easier to arrange only one threaded nut axially displaceably, specifically the threaded nut of the return spindle, since an immovable axial bearing is most advantageous for the lead screw nut.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 11 to 14, the backlash of the screw spindle gear for the rapid return is equal to the backlash 2x of the lead screw gear. The backlash of the rapid reverse gear 41, 42 could, however, also be smaller than twice the backlash of the lead screw gear 26, 27 can be selected. In any case, however, it must not be smaller than the simple backlash of the lead screw gear, otherwise the intended mode of operation would not be achieved.
As already mentioned, when the eccentric 53 is turned over, the switch 5: 8 is actuated. The switch 58 swaps the contactors for the right and left rotation of the electric motor to drive the workpiece spindle according to the selected working direction. The operation of the switch 58 can be seen from the circuit diagram of FIG. 15 men. In the circuit diagram, A is the push button to turn off the workpiece spindle drive motor. The push button Ei is used to switch on the motor when grinding and the push button E2 to switch on the motor when reversing.
The stroke of the carriage 1 is limited by the path limit switches W1, W2 and T1, T2. The switches W1 and W2 are actuated by hits 61 and 62, which are arranged on a control disk 63. The control disk 63 is rotated depending on the workpiece spindle. The switches T1 and T2 are actuated by stops 64, 6.5 on the slide 1. Through the Schaltkon contacts 66, 67,, 68, 69 can, the switches W1 respectively. W2 can be connected in parallel or in series with switches T1 and T2. When connected in parallel, the switching contacts 66 to -69 are in the fully drawn position, when connected in series they are in the dashed position.
When connected in parallel, the workpiece motor does not come to a standstill until both switches W1 and T1 are open. When connected in series, the Sehalter W1 respectively. W2 alone. The switching contacts 70, 71, 72-, 73 belong to the switch 58. They are used to switch the contactors 75 and 76 alternately to the Einschaltd.ruckknopf Ei respectively. Assign to E2.
The switch contacts 77, 78 are located in a special switch and are switched to the "left-hand thread" and "right-hand thread" positions. In the fully drawn position of the sound contacts 70-73, the contactor 75 is effective during operation and the contactor 76 is effective when the slide is returning.
The fact that the electrical changeover switch 58 is actuated at the same time as the eccentric 53 for axially displacing the threaded nut 42 means that the interchanging. the contactor for clockwise and counterclockwise rotation of the motor is omitted when changing the working direction.
The embodiments according to FIGS. 6-8 and 9-14 have nothing to do with the double screw drives, which are known under the designation "drag screw drive". The two screw spindles of the drag screw drive are connected via a slip clutch and serve to drive the slide together. The purpose of such a gear is to largely relieve the load on one spindle, for which the designation "measuring spindle" is therefore common.
The measuring spindle works in such a way that it only allows the slide to move forward as far as the play of the opposing thread flanks, whereupon: the slip clutch then comes into action again, so that the slide can move without major stress on the Measuring spindle going on. In contrast to the examples in Figs. 6-8 and 9-14, both threaded spindles in the drag spindle drive are in flank contact with the associated threaded nut during the forward and reverse movement of the slide.
