Shock absorbing bearing. So-called shock absorber bearings are already known in watchmaking, mainly intended for watch balance axles and for damping the shocks to which these axles may be subjected as a result of impacts to which the watch is subjected.
It is also known to bring together a pierced stone and a counter-pivot stone in a kitten, to suspend this kitten in a bearing body by adjustments of frustoconical shape and to hold this mobile pad in place by an elastic return member.
However, these devices generally offer serious difficulties of practical execution in line with the extremely small dimensions of these bearings, dimensions imposed by the caliber of the watches for which they are intended.
These difficulties arise above all from the fact that in these known devices it is a question of simultaneously bringing together several bearing surfaces, for example a conical surface and a surface perpendicular to the axis or else two conical surfaces, an adjustment which is very necessary. difficult to achieve.
The present invention tends to eliminate or at least to largely eliminate the above difficulties by providing a single bearing surface shaped and arranged in such a way that it allows movement of the pad in any direction. under the influence of a shock received by the pivot while immediately re-centering the hole in the drilled stone.
It relates to a shock-absorbing bearing, mainly, but not exclusively for a watch balance axis in which a bearing, housed in a bearing body, can move in all directions under the action of a shock. , as opposed to an elastic springboard. It is characterized in that the bush is in contact with the bearing body by at least one spherical surface guiding its movement and ensuring the recentering of the axis.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, two embodiments of the object of the invention.
Figs. 1 and 2 show a first form thereof, FIGS. 3 and 4 a second form. All these figures are sections through the axis of the borehole of the bearing. The even-numbered figures show the pad in its normal working position, the even-numbered figures show it in a position determined by a side impact.
Finally, fig. 7 is a plan view of the bearing shown in FIG. 1.
The bearings shown are suitable for a clockwork movement cock and are intended for the axis of the balance.
1 designates the board of the rooster in which the bearing is fixed. The body of the bearing is signed by '-) -, it is a rotational body forced into an opening in the cock board on which it rests by a shoulder 3.
The movable pad is designated by 4; it is constituted by a kitten in which is introduced to. force a drilled stone 5 and on a shoulder of which rests a counter-pivot stone 6. In the 5 'olive hole of the drilled stone is journaled the thinned end 7' of the balance axis 7. The bearing body 2 has at. its upper part a circular groove 8 in which three exterior pins 9 of an annular spring 10 are braced which presses by three interior pins 11 on the domed exterior face of the counter-pivot stone 6.
A notch 12 allows the spring to be removed and reassembled by rotating it in the groove 8 so that the three outer pins 9 come in turn. turn to face the notch 12, thus making it possible to engage or disengage them one by one.
The bearing 4 rests in the bearing body 2 with which it is in contact by a spherical surface 13 cooperating with a circular ridge 14.
In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the bearing 4 has its lower part terminated on the outside by said spherical surface 13 which rests on the bevelled circular edge 14 of the bearing body 2. The center of curvature of this spherical surface is located at the center of the hole 5 'of the pierced stone and very substantially coincides with the pivot point of axis 7.
If, instead of a spherical surface 13, the center of which is located at 5 ', one is satisfied with a spherical surface with a larger radius of curvature, the center of curvature of the generatrix of this surface must be substantially in the geometric axis of the pi vot. For small inclinations of the net cushion, the centering error will then also be negligible. Manufacturing reasons can justify such a solution because in particular a larger radius of curvature facilitates manufacturing.
Fig. 2 represents the same bearing dice placed momentarily under the effect of a shock in the direction of the arrow F. The bearing 4 has slipped obliquely on its seat against the action of the return spring 10 and is in winked slightly in the direction of the shock. Since the center of the radius of curvature of the spherical surface 13 is located at the center of the hole 5 'of the drilled stone and that this hole is olivated, this slight inclination, incidentally temporary, has no effect on the journal of the axis 7 which will therefore not be distorted.
The res comes out 10, which the movement of the pad has more strongly armed on one side is responsible for bringing the pad to the normal position. The spherical surface 18 cooperating with the circular ridge 14 guides the movement of the net cushion and its recentering.
Figs. 3 and 4 show another embodiment of the object of the invention in which the spherical surface 13 is formed in the bearing body \? and cooperates with the circular ridge 14 of the pad.
The operation is identical to that of the previous embodiment.
The edges can of course be rounded or bevelled (fig. 1 and 2). In addition, the concave spherical surface of the bearing body of FIGS. 3 and 4 could cooperate with an additional spherical surface: small radius of the bearing.
Ira fig. 5 shows in plan the bearing of FIG. 1. The upper part of the bearing body is shaped so as to retain: in its groove 8 the spring 10 without any foreign fixing means .à these two elements. Of course, any other suitable fixing device, for example screws or a hinge, could be adopted.
Ire bearing body 2 can be shaped on the outside so as to serve at the same time as a support for the racket 15. It can be fixed to any other support than the board -du rooster, for example to the plate.
