deren Sprossen nasenartige Verbreiterungen besitzen.
Process for the production of zippers from non-metallic material. It is known to produce the Versühlussglieder for zippers made of non-metallic material and to attach them individually to the Trag ban, de, z.
B. by means of a binding agent. In large companies, this requires the use of auxiliary machines for sorting the connecting links and for feeding the sorted connecting links to the conveyor belt. It is also known to shape non-metallic material directly into closure members on the fastener tape by means of heat and pressure treatment.
This procedure is also cumbersome. Finally, it is known to process a metal strip by punching in order to form the closing links so that a middle bar and branches branching off from it on both sides at opposite points and at the same distance from one another are formed.
This workpiece is fastened with its branches bent in relation to one another to the carrier tape in such a way that the middle bar comes to lie at a certain distance from the edge of the carrier.
By cutting the bar in the transverse direction between the pairs of branches, bow-shaped fastener links are separated from each other, which are smooth-edged at their bent points in one row of fasteners and with raised edges in the other row of fasteners,
which, when the clasp is closed, grip into the smooth-edged bow-shaped clasps of the other clasp: row of clasps. This method has the disadvantage that a considerable amount of chip-removing machining is required on the workpiece attached to the carrier tape until the closure members are completed,
which questions the accuracy of manufacture very much.
The invention aims to achieve a high degree of accuracy in the production of zippers from non-metallic material in that the strip-shaped workpiece is punched in the form of a conductor,
whose sprouts have nose-like widenings. If this ladder is bent into a U-profile piece, attached to the carrier tape and fastened to it,
so the rungs easily form the effective parts of the connecting links. The @Tersehlussglieder can be separated from each other by making cuts in the stiles of the ladder that are glued to the carrying tape. This work is easy to do and without detrimental <RTI
ID = "0002.0035"> Influence with regard to maintaining the correct position of the locking links. The flexibility of the rows of connecting links can, however, also be achieved by weakening the cross-section of the struts of the ladder before they are attached to the support band.
The method according to the invention will be explained in an example with reference to the drawing, in which a strip consisting, for example, of celluloid is shown in various processing stages.
A flat '' strip is made in the form of a ladder with rungs 5 and stiles 7 by punching out the windows 4. The rungs have nose-like widenings 6.
This ladder is bent in the direction of the arrow drawn in FIG. 1 to form a U-shaped section, so that it can be slipped with its spars onto the thickened edge 8 of the carrier tape 9,
which was previously removed with a binding agent. The rungs 5 protrude beyond the edge of the support band in the form of the effective parts of the closure members without further processing forming brackets (Fig. 2).
If the ladder is firmly connected to the support tape after the binding agent has dried, cuts 10 are made in the stiles 7, which completely separate the closure members from one another (FIG. 8 left)
. The position of these cuts can be drawn by tanning 11, which punched into the bars 7 in the formation of the rungs who the (Fig. 2).
The flexibility of a row of connecting links can also be achieved by making cross-sectional weakening 12 (Fig. 3 ', right) on the spars before the conductors are attached to the support belt,
which allow bending without completely destroying the 719ss & mmenhalt of the connecting links on the strap.
The locking members of the two locking member rows are brought into engagement with one another and released from one another in a known manner by a slide (not shown in the drawing).
