Fig. 1 zeigt in schaubildlicher Darstel lung eine Kamera mit zwei an dieser mittels eines Statives angeordneten Blitzlampen nebst der Kontakt- und Verschlussauslösevor- richtung; Fig. 2 und 3 veranschaulichen in grösse rem Massstabe einen Schnitt durch die Kon takt- und Verschlussauslösevorrichtung bezw. eine Draufsicht auf einen Teil derselben;
Equipment on cameras for simultaneous actuation of the camera shutter and flash lamps. Flash lamps are usually used for flash photography and it is particularly important when taking pictures of living objects to achieve lifelike recordings that these flashes are actuated at the same time as the shutter release.
The subject of the invention is a device on cameras for the simultaneous actuation of the camera shutter and flash lamps, by means of which both the activation of the flash lamps and the triggering of the camera shutter take place. This device has a contact and camera shutter release device that can be actuated by a shutter release, which together with a camera carrying the camera and attachable to its tripod,
Flash lamp tripod composed of individual elements with at least one flash lamp arranged on the latter is switched into the circuit of a power source housed in a single element of the lamp stand, so that the camera shutter is activated by the shutter release and the circuit for the flash light is closed at the same time can.
The subject of the invention is shown in the drawing, for example.
1 shows a diagrammatic representation of a camera with two flash lamps arranged thereon by means of a tripod, together with the contact and shutter release device; Fig. 2 and 3 illustrate on a larger scale rem scale a section through the contact and lock release device BEZW. a plan view of part of the same;
FIG. 4 shows an insert for special purposes for this contact and lock release device in a longitudinal section; 5 to 10 show individual parts of the flash lamp stand on a partially enlarged scale. 1 with the camera is referred to, which is placed together with a flash lamp stand on an apparatus stand, not shown.
The flash lamp stand has a rail 2 (Fig. 5), at one end of which a bore with an internal thread is provided, while its second end carries a rotatable nut 3 on the underside, on which a through the rail 2 reaching through, for insertion into a corresponding screw bengewinde of the camera housing certain screw bolts 4 is attached. An inter mediate rail 2 and bolt 4 a joined disk 5 made of felt or another matching, flexible material ver prevents damage to the Kameragehäu ses.
The nut 3 itself carries an internal thread to accommodate the screw bolt of the apparatus stand. After placing the camera on the rail 2 and after fastening the device stand, the rail 2 can be moved in a horizontal plane.
The flash lamp tripod is made up of individual members. On the free end of the rail 2, a metal sleeve 6 is screwed to accept a rod battery 7 serving as a power source. For this purpose, the lower end of the sleeve 6 is equipped with a base 9 with a screw bolt 10 which is fastened to the sleeve 6.
As can be seen from Fig. 5 and 6, a horizontally and radially pierced disc 8 is inserted into the lower end of the sleeve 6 from an Iso liermaterial for receiving a plug pin, in which disc one with a bore whose diameter is the one of the insulating washer 8 corresponds, provided metal piece 11 is inserted, on which the stick battery 7 comes to rest. Said connector pin is, as described below, connected to the contact and lock release device.
In the upper end of the sleeve 6, an insulating washer 13 is inserted, which sits on the rod battery 7 and the central Boh tion the contact pin 14 of the battery closes. A metal cover 15 with a cylindrical attachment with an internal thread is screwed onto the sleeve 6. The power source 7 is completely isolated from the metal sleeve 6 by an insulating jacket 12 and from the Bo 9 and the cover 15.
The other individual elements of the flash lamp stand are each formed from a metal sleeve 16 (FIG. 7). One end of each sleeve 16 encloses an axially drilled through, cylindrical metal body 17 provided with an internal thread.
In the other Hül senende an axially pierced metal body 18 is also partially embedded, the protruding part of which is designed as a screw bolt, the diameter of this screw bolt being the same as that of the internal thread of the metal body 17 and that of the internal thread of the cover 15 of the battery case 6.
The ends of two contact pins 19 and 20 are passed through the bores of the two metal bodies 17 and 18 and are insulated from the metal bodies by insulating sleeves 21. Each contact pin carries a flange which is used to support a compression spring 22, which is a one hand. Pressing against the inserted insulating washers 23 wir ken and on the other hand establishes a conductive connection between the two contact pins itself.
An insulating sleeve 24 within the metal sleeve 16 completes the insulation of the two contact pins 19 and 20 connected to one another by the compression spring 22 from the outer metal parts of the flash lamp stand.
The terminating element (FIG. 8) of the flash lamp stand differs from the individual elements described according to FIG. 7 in that the metal body 17 inserted into the sleeve has no internal thread and the contact pin 19 protrudes beyond the end of the sleeve.
A longitudinally slotted sleeve 26 (FIGS. 8 and 9) which forms a component of a metal disk 25 and which disk has two spaced supports 27, between which an insulating disk 28 with a metal contact ring 29 can rotate around, is pushed onto this end of the sleeve a horizontal fastening screw 30 is arranged.
On the insulating body 28, a metal sleeve 32 with an internal thread and inserted insulating washer 33 is fixed by means of a contact screw 31 for receiving the flash lamp. The Me tallhülse 32 is electrically conductively connected by a metal rail 34 with the screw 30 and thus with the outer metal sleeve of the flashlight stand, while the contact screw 31 via the metal ring 29 with the pin 19 pressed against it is in conductive connection. This training enables the flash lamp to be pivoted in a vertical plane.
To connect a second flash lamp to the flash lamp carrier, a pipe section 34 (FIG. 10) which is slit longitudinally at both ends is provided, into which an insulating body 35 with an axial contact pin 36 is inserted.
A socket consisting of a metal sleeve 32 with internal thread and inserted insulating washer 33 is attached to the pipe section 34 by means of a screw 31 reaching into the contact pin 36 such that on the one hand the metal sleeve 32 with the pipe section 34 and on the other hand the contact screw 31 with the con contact piece 36 is electrically connected. The contact piece 36 is dimensioned so that it can be inserted into the bore of the metal body 17 of each intermediate member of the flash lamp stand and can come into contact with the contact pin 19 of the same.
The flashlight stand is assembled as follows: After introducing the stick battery into the battery sleeve 6, this is closed with its cover 15 and in this the metal body 18 of a single member is screwed, the free end of the contact pin 20 through the spring 22 to the con tact pin 14 of the power source is pressed. In the metal body 17 of this individual member .der metal body 18 of a further individual member is then introduced, etc., each of the contact pins of the individual members by touching one. Establish an electrical connection.
The metal sleeve 34 with the socket for the lower flash lamp is inserted between two such individual members at the desired height. The end of the tripod is made by the terminating element according to FIG. B. It results from this training that the two flash lamps shown in FIG. 1 are connected in parallel to one another in the circuit described below, with the lower flash lamp in a horizontal plane, while the upper lamp can be swiveled in a vertical plane.
A contact and camera shutter release device is provided as a further accessory for the device. This consists, as can be seen from FIGS. 2 and 3, of a laterally perforated metal sleeve 37 with a guide slot 38 for a guide pin 39 of a contact sleeve 40 arranged longitudinally displaceably within .des Metallkör pers 37.
The metal body 37 is closed at one end and equipped with an axial screw thread for receiving a known wire release 41. In the other end of the metal body, an insert 42 with an adjusting nut 43 is built in to receive a wire guide 44 with a conical end External thread for fastening in the camera housing.
The wire guide 44 sits adjustably and can be locked in the desired position by the adjusting nut 43 in the insert 42 and carries a wire pin 45 in an axial bore for triggering the camera lock, one end of which is inserted in an insulating body 46 as a carrier for the contact sleeve 40 .
The insulating body 46 protrudes at one end - somewhat out of the contact sleeve 40 so that the latter can be in the position shown in FIG. 2 ge drawn rest position against the metal body 37 is isolated. About the rear part.
A compression spring 47 is pushed onto the wire pin 45 and rests on the insulating body 46 and on a shoulder in the wire guide 44. On the contact sleeve 40 a flexible, insulated electrical conductor 48 is closed, which carries a pin 49 (Fig. 1) at the free end, with which an electrically conductive connection with the metal piece 11 and thus with one pole of the stick battery 7 is made .
The connector shown in Fig. 2 can be used for all types of cameras with the exception of Leica sets. In order to enable the connection to such apparatus as well, a wire guide 50 according to FIG. 4 is provided, which can be screwed into the insert 42 and then locked and has a connection body 51 with an internal thread at its free end.
To complete the electrical circuit, a flying, insulated, flexible line (not shown), each with a connecting terminal at each end, which is clamped onto the rail 2 and the wire guide 44, is used.
The method of operation of the device described is as follows: When the cable release 41 is actuated, the insulated contact sleeve 40 is compressed while the spring 47 is compressed and the camera actuating the shutter is moved. Wire pin 45 moved until it comes into contact with the insert 42. The wire sleeve 44 is set in such a way that at the moment of making contact between tween. Contact sleeve 40 and insert 42 also trigger the.
Camera closure takes place, with the following circuit over .die two parallel connected, flash lamps ge is closed: contact pin 14 of the stick battery 7, contact pins of the juxtaposed individual members of the flash lamp tripod, contact screw 31 of the insert tube piece 34 or Contact ring 29 and contact screw 31, flash lamps, socket 32, sleeves 16 of the individual links, rail 2, flying Lei device, wire guide 44 and respectively. Guide piece 42, contact sleeves 40,
Line 48, plug pin 49, contact piece 11 of the stick battery 7.
After releasing the cable release 41, the contact between the contact sleeve 40 and the insert 42 is interrupted again by the return of the former to the rest position shown in FIG. 2 as a result of the expansion of the spring 47.
Thanks to the possibility of shifting the wire guide in the metal body 37, it can be ensured that the camera shutter is triggered even shortly after the flashlamp circuit has been closed by the contact sleeve 40.
The device described allows the flash lamps to be mounted on the device stand itself, pivoting of the same to set the desired lighting effects and actuation of the flash lamps at the time of triggering the camera shutter, thus avoiding incorrect recordings. By subdividing the flash lamp tripod, it can be placed in a small pocket or the like.
