La. fia. 1 est une demi-coupe verticale d'un compresseur; La fig. 2 est une demi-élévation de face; La fig..3 est une vue de face et les fig. 4 et 5 des vues de profil correspondantes des cames commandant la course alternative -des deux pistons; La fig. 6 est une -demi-coupe verticale montrant une variante âde construction; La fig. 7 est une demi-élévation d'une masselotte monobloc;
Double-acting machine for all fluids. Certain devices are already known which function as receivers and as motors, in which a piston is moved by a reciprocating movement in collaboration with a cam and springs or air mattress. Such devices have many drawbacks and are mainly of unsatisfactory performance.
The device which is the subject of the present invention overcomes these drawbacks. It includes at least one flyweight formed of two udders with opposite working faces performing a reciprocating movement parallel to the shaft of the machine and mechanically connected to the shaft by a mechanism comprising at least one flywheel wedged on the shaft, cams and opposing rollers, this mechanism being housed at least partially between the pistons forming the mass'lo'tte.
Depending on the applications and construction requirements, the machine can be designed with one or more weights, each itself being in one or two parts. In this last case, the two parts must be rigidly connected in them.
The drawings show, by way of example, various embodiments of the object of the invention.
The. Fia. 1 is a vertical half-section of a compressor; Fig. 2 is a front half-elevation; Fig..3 is a front view and figs. 4 and 5 of the corresponding side views of the cams controlling the reciprocating stroke of the two pistons; Fig. 6 is a vertical half-section showing an alternative construction; Fig. 7 is a half-elevation of a one-piece weight;
Fig. 8 is a section on a-b of FIG. 7; Fig. 9 is a cross section of four monobloc massagers controlled by a single set of cams.
In fig. 1 to 5, the machine comprises a cylindrical housing 1 and two cylinder heads 2a, 2b, forming two annular chambers 3a, 3b. In the directing axis of the assembly is journaled the motor shaft 5 mounted on ball bearings.
In the chambers 3a, 3b is arranged a weight formed of two annular pistons 5a, 5b provided with sealing segments 7a, 7b, 8a, 8b. These pistons are connected to each other rigorously by the cylindrical sleeve 9. Screws 10 engaged in slots 11 weave the weight against any angular displacement. These screws are axially drilled for filling and draining the oil.
Annular cams 12a, 12b are respectively fixed to the parts 6a, 6b, arranged so that their lines of action are located in the cylindrical surface passing through the middle of the thickness of the annular weight. These cams work with ga lets 13a, 13b, mounted in pairs on a flywheel 14 wedged on the shaft 5 with the interposition of thrust bearings 15a, 15b between its hub and the cylinder heads 2a, 2b.
By the effect of the rotation of the flywheel 14, the rollers 13a, 13b transmit to the parts 6a, 6b of the weight, by means of their -cames 12a, 12b, alternate rectilinear movements in the chambers 3a, 3b . Figs. 3 to 5 show the cams 12, .à two identical profiles distributed over their circumference and the disc 14 carries four rollers. The device therefore operates at the rate of two pulses per revolution of the shaft.
On each cylinder head in correspondence with the chambers 3a, 3b are provided - opposite suction and discharge valves 16a, 16b. The number of these valves is variable according to the dimensions of the machine. Fluid inlet nozzles 17a, 17b are attached to the two cylinder heads. .
The reciprocating movement of each of the parts 6a, 6b therefore causes a suction while the other compresses the fluid admitted previously and vice versa.
In the nozzles 17a, 17b may optionally be provided fans 18a, 1'8b wedged on the shaft 5, in order to increase the. Pressure at the inlet. Water jackets 19 are formed in the casing 1 to provide cooling.
It is obviously possible to form a greater number of profiles on each cam by providing a corresponding number of gaets. As a variant, the cams 12a, 12b can also be mounted on the flywheel 14 (FIG. 6). The angularly fixed weight then receives its reciprocating rectilinear displacement from the corresponding oame by the rollers 13a, 13b which it carries.
Such a variant makes it possible to reduce the length of the frame 1 and it becomes possible to -dispose on the shaft 5 one after the other of the flywheels 14, 14 'respectively actuating the weights. In this case, distributors can be provided on the bottom of the chamber in an annular belt.
Such an arrangement also makes it possible to perform operation in stages or in cascade by establishing communication between the appropriate distributors on each stage.
The fia. 7 and 8 show an exemplary embodiment with a weight in a single block, the cylindrical sleeve 9 being replaced by ribs 9a arranged in such a way that there is a sufficient vacuum for the passage of the cam wheel 14.
Such a construction allows multiple devices to be produced, in which 2, 4, 6 ... 2n weights work in symmetrical pairs on the same drive shaft 5 (fig. 9), these weights being arranged in the cylinders. 21 parallel to the axis. Such an arrangement makes it possible to produce devices of very small size in relation to their power.
The back-and-forth movement of the burbot as described above is always done parallel to the control axis.
