Entrance door lock with stop lever. The present invention relates to an entrance door lock with a stop lever, characterized by a mortar box and two cane nozzles, the urr of which is controlled by a locking device, allowing '' use the door at will, for free operation and automatic closing.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the lock with double lever nose according to the invention.
Fig. 1 is a side view of the stopping mechanism controlling the second lever handle; Fig. 2 is a rear view of FIG. 1; Figs. 3 and 4, on a smaller scale, are: The first, a view of the lock complete with the locking device, taken from the inside and the second, a similar view with the cylinders, taken from the side of the bearing.
The lock shown in fig. 3 and 4 comprises a box 1 to be mortised and a first cane nozzle 2, upper, controlled by a handle engaging in the square 3. A second cane nozzle 4, lower, is connected to the stop mechanism of a locking device shown in FIG. 1 and 2 and which comprises a button 5 for operating the cane nozzle 4, connected by the rod 6 to two locking cylinders 7, for example of the Yale type. The button 5, placed on the inside of the door, is supported by a plate 8, behind which is mounted a locking bolt 9, operated by a net ma 10 in the form of a sliding button on the front of the plate 8.
The bolt 9, guided between two slides 11, can penetrate with one of its ends in a notch 12, made in the washer 13 of the button 5; the other end 14 is folded over the bolt and provided on one of its sides with two stop notches 17, with which a stop pin 16 with a support spring 15 is successively engaged.
In fig. 1 and 2, the rusting worm device is drawn in its locked position. The button 5 is rotated so that the bolt 9 can penetrate into the notch 12 of the washer 13 of the button, which corresponds to the position where the lever 4 is completely retracted into the box of the lock. The stop pin 16 immobilizes the bolt in this position, which corresponds to that of the free-running door. You can therefore enter and exit through the door by simply opening and closing it using the handle of lever 2.
If you now want to close the door permanently, it suffices to push button 10 in the direction indicated by the arrow in fig. 1. The bolt 9 is removed from its grip with the washer 13 of the button and retained in this new position by the pin-stop 16, which is now housed between the two notches 17. The button 5 releases the lever 4 which keeps the door closed. To be able to open it from the inside, turn button 5, to release the lever handle 4 from the strike and simultaneously operate the handle, to release the lever handle 2. - To open the door from the landing, we use the key that we introduce into the cylinders 7, connected by the rod 6 to the button 5.
By pressing the handle simultaneously, the lever 2 is removed from the strike and the door opens.
Among the advantages of the lock described, mention should be made of the possibility of opening the door from the inside, by means of the button 5, when the door is locked. It closes automatically, without requiring the use of a key.
By using the locking device of the second cane nozzle 4, the door can be operated only by the handle of the first cane nozzle 2.
