Speed reducer. The object of the present invention is a speed reducer comprising two satel lites integral with one another and mounted on an arm fixed to a motor shaft; one of the planet gears meshing with a fixed toothed wheel concentric with this drive shaft, and the other meshing with a solid toothed wheel of a second shaft coaxial with the drive shaft; a housing being provided to protect the moving wheels from dust.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the subject of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a longitudinal sectional view thereof, and FIG. 2 is a sectional view along d-B of FIG. 1.
The speed reducer shown com carries a motor shaft 1 to which is adapted, by means of a pin 2, an arm 3; on the latter are mounted, on the one hand, a counterweight 4 and, on the other hand, the satellites 5 and 6; these being each provided with the same number of teeth, are integral with the axis 7 and can rotate with the latter. When the arm 3 rotates with the shaft 1, the teeth of the satellite 5 mesh with those of a fixed toothed wheel 8, comprising a threaded bush 9 con centric to the motor shaft. To said sleeve is fitted a flange 10 which is held by means of a nut 11.
During the rotation of the arm 3, the satellite lite 6 actuates, while moving, the toothed wheel 12, the number of teeth of which is different from that of the wheel 8. The wheel 12 in its movement drags the concentric hollow shaft 13 to the motor shaft 1. The shaft 13 comprises a shoulder 14 on which is fitted the flange 15 which comprises a circular protrusion 16 on which is fitted a battue 17 of the flange 10; the latter has ears 18, 19, 20, 21 joined together by means of screws ù ta raudés elements 22, 23, 24, 2.5 of the extension 16.
In the case where the satellites 5 and 6 have the same number of teeth and the wheels 8 and 12 respectively 22 and 24 teeth, the speed reducer works as follows: when the shaft 1 makes a revolution and drives the arm 3 and the satellites 5 and 6, these make one turn on the wheels 8 and 12, the latter is then forced to turn by an angle corresponding to the distance between two teeth, so that at twelve turns of the arm 3 and consequently of the shaft 1 corresponds one revolution of the wheel 12 and of the shaft 13.
The speed reducer shown can be advantageously used to actuate the hands of a clock. In this case, the shaft 1 drives the minute hands and the shaft 13 drives the hour hand.
