Control device for fuel injection machines. The invention relates to a Regeleinrich device for internal combustion engines, in particular diesel engines. According to the invention, a gear is switched on between the control of the amount of fuel to be delivered in the working cylinder organ of the fuel pump (suction or overflow valve) and the controller, which enables a linear relationship between the load on the machine and the controller stroke.
The effect of the forces exerted by the fuel on the regulator linkage is advantageously reduced by the transmission. The transmission can have a cam track moved by the drive, for example the piston, the fuel pump.
The drawing relates to Ausführungsbei games of the subject invention.
1 shows the course of the fuel consumption (curve 9) and the stroke of the regulator (curve B) in a regulating device according to the invention as a function of the engine load.
In FIG. 2, a fuel delivery device is shown schematically in section; 3 shows schematically a further fuel delivery device. In known fuel injection engines, the fuel charge delivered by the fuel pump is proportional to the regulator stroke. Due to the curvature of the fuel consumption curve (curve A in Fig. 1), however, there is no linear relationship between the engine load and the fuel load.
so that the regulator stroke does not change proportionally to the engine load, but rather with the same partial loads the partial strokes in the lower area of the regulator stroke are compressed. For example, the controller will have only one stroke a under load Ni, while this stroke would have to correspond to the value b in FIG. 1 given a linear relationship between the load on the machine and the regulator stroke.
As a result, especially with controllers with a small degree of irregularity in the lower area of the controller stroke, small changes in the stroke result in large changes in the load, so that at least during the control process, when the controller swings beyond its position in the subsequent Beharrungszu, which is under the influence of the controller The added fuel charge brings about a significant change in performance, which lengthens the control process and brings about a longer oscillation around the new state of harassment.
According to the invention, a linear relationship between the load on the machine and the regulator stroke should now be made possible by switching a gearbox between the controller and the organ that controls the amount of fuel to be conveyed into the working cylinder, so that the load lying next to idle The same partial loads can only be achieved with larger strokes across the controller stroke.
According to Fig. 2, the piston 1 of the fuel pump built into the housing 2 is driven by a crank mechanism 3, 4 (it could also be a cam) and pushes the fuel sucked in from the line 5 via the suction valve 6 via the pressure valve 7 into the pressure line 8, which leads to one or more open nozzles or controlled inlet organs. With the piston of the pump, a lever 9 is moved with a cam track 13, which works together with the roller 10 of a lever 12 connected to the regulator shaft 11.
The amount of fuel is regulated by the suction valve 6, which is kept open by the lever 12 during the inward stroke of the pump piston for a longer or shorter period depending on the load, after which the delivery begins. The lever 12 and the regulator shaft 11 are shown in the position for idling, in which the suction valve is closed late. The cam track 13 is adjustably mounted in the lever 17 on the axis 19. By turning the lever 17, the position of the cam path can be changed.
The curved path 13 is designed such that in the position shown of the curved path, a linear relationship is established between the load on the machine and the controller stroke, in the case of the controller stroke b, i.e. for the load Ni </ B in FIG. 1 > an amount of fuel a corresponding to the fuel consumption curve is injected.
The cam track is also designed in such a way that the effect of the forces exerted by the fuel on the regulator linkage is reduced to a relatively small fraction of the forces exerted by the fuel. If the force exerted by the fuel on the roller 10 is denoted by X, the control linkage with its component Y is stressed, which makes up only a relatively small fraction of the force X and is determined by the cam track 13.
According to Fig. 3, the control of the amount of fuel takes place instead of the suction valve 6 by a special overflow valve 15 Cam track 13 and this works with the overflow element 15 in the same way as the cam track 13 in FIG. 2 with the suction valve 6.
The regulator shaft 11 is also shown here in the idle position, in which it causes the overflow element 15 to open relatively early so that a small amount of fuel is conveyed. The axis of rotation 18 of the cam tap is in turn adjustable GE superimposed and can be adjusted by the adjustable lever 17 of the shaft 19 between the layers 20 and 21, for example.
