Process for the production of coverings and structures. The subject matter of the present invention forms a method for the production of Be layings and structures.
It is a known phenomenon that the coverings produced according to previous methods, mainly floor coverings, lose their resistance over time and therefore become uneven and cracked. The main cause of this error lies in the fact that the individual materials of the pavement compound do not enter into an intimate connection with one another. To counter this disadvantage and at the same time to achieve a greater hardness of the finished product, is the purpose of the present invention.
According to the same, the method consists in adding at least one binding agent to a filler material containing cupola slag.
Depending on the intended use of the product, the cupola slag can be added to the filler material in coarser or finer processing. Where it is a question of giving a floor a non-slip surface, for example, cupola slag can be used in whole or in part instead of powder in grit or grain, and it can be mixed in or sprinkled on and smoothed in.
When it comes to workrooms where the floor must have a rough surface, it is advisable to use grist or granular slag; The procedure can be such that the filler materials are first mixed well with the slag and then the binding agents are added and mixed thoroughly.
For the filler material, it is advantageous to choose pumice gravel, pumice sand and crushed cork and, after intimately mixing it with the slag, add a hydraulic binding agent, for example Sorel or Portland cement or lime with water:
As a result of the lime silicate contained in the cupola slag, which itself partly acts as a binding agent and has a beneficial effect on the association, durability and hardness, a product with insulating properties can also be obtained with cork or sawdust as filler material Crumbling, getting rid of, rolling, as is otherwise observed with cork or pumice grit, is excluded.
The covering produced according to the method described is primarily suitable for the production of large, jointless floors, since there is no risk of breakage when the floor changes due to its elasticity due to the durability of the material. In addition, after this process, building panels and other types of structures can be pressed into molds under pressure. -
