Description
Die Zeichnungen stellen Ausführungsbei spiele der Einrichtung gemäss der Erfindung dar, anhand von welchen im folgenden das Verfahren gemäss der Erfindung bei spielsweise erläutert wird Fig. 1 ist ein senkrechter Schnitt durch den obern \feil des Zylinders eines Viertaktmotors; Fig. 2 ist eine Ansicht der Einspritz vorrichtung von unten; Fig. 3 ist ein Detail von Fig. 1 in ver- grössertern Massstab; Fig. 4 betrifft ein zweites Ausführungs beispiel;
Method and device on internal combustion engines for introducing the fuel into the cylinder. In internal combustion engines, it is known to inject liquid fuel into the cylinder in which the combustion air has previously been compressed by the piston to such an extent that the fuel ignites when it is injected.
It is also known to ignite the fuel in an ignition chamber and then to burn it in the cylinder: According to the present invention, liquid fuel is introduced into compressed air, which exits the cylinder into a gasification chamber, and vaporizes there 'The gaseous mixture of compressed air and fuel is pressed from the gasification chamber into the cylinder.
The drawings represent Ausführungsbei games of the device according to the invention, on the basis of which in the following the method according to the invention is explained for example; Figure 1 is a vertical section through the upper \ feil of the cylinder of a four-stroke engine; Fig. 2 is a bottom view of the injection device; Fig. 3 is a detail of Fig. 1 on an enlarged scale; Fig. 4 relates to a second embodiment example;
FIG. 5 shows a detail of FIG. 4 on an enlarged scale.
The piston 7 plays in the cylinder 6. The air inlet valve S and the outlet valve 9 are located in the cover of this cylinder.
Furthermore, a Ge housing 10 is used in the cylinder cover, in which a bottom conical plunger 11 works in a central bore 11 '. A bore 15 for the fuel valve 14 is arranged next to the bore 11 ′. Two caps 12 and 13 are placed over the housing 10 from below. The cap 12 has at the bottom inside a conical recess 16 corresponding to the lower end of the piston 11, which serves as a gasification chamber. At the bottom of the recess 16 ends a small hole 17 into which the tip of the piston 11 penetrates in the lowest position.
The two caps 12 and 13 enclose with one another an annular heating chamber for the liquid fuel, which is in constant communication with the hole 17 through grooves 19 radiating out from the selenium in a shoulder 18 of the inner cap. The hole 17 is in constant communication with the cylinder through narrow openings 21 in the outer cap 13.
The fuel valve 14 is pointed at the bottom and dominates a channel 22 which is connected to the heating chamber 20 by a groove 20 'of the cap 13.
The piston 11 and the valve 14 who operate the means of control members 26 and 27. The operation of the embodiment shown in Fig. 1 and shown is fol lowing: During the suction stroke of the piston 7, air passes through the valve S in the cylinder 6 and liquid fuel through the fuel valve 14. It flows into the channel 22 and from here into the Heating chamber 20. The fuel still present there is pressed through the radial grooves 19 into the gasification canister 16. This fuel has previously been in the heating chamber 20 and in the radial grooves 19 and warmed the wor.
It now cools the tip of the plunger 11, thus preventing pre-ignition and the accumulation of soot at the tip of the plunger. It heats up even more, so that it gasses more easily.
During the entry of the fuel charge into the gasification chamber up to the compression stroke of the working piston, the piston 11 is raised from its lowest position to its highest position. This creates a negative pressure in the gasification chamber 16, which prevents fuel from entering the cylinder 6, where there is still a slight negative pressure.
During the compression stroke of the working piston, the piston 11 remains in the highest position and as a result, warm compression air emerges from your cylinder in thin jets through the openings 21 into the gasification chamber 16. This air flows through the tumbled fuel at the bottom of the gasification chamber 16, which is swirled up and gasified and is intimately mixed with the air in the Kainnier 16.
When the power stroke of the piston 7 sets in, the plunger 11 is now quickly pushed naelr down until the tip of the piston strikes the cap 12. As a result, the gaseous fuel mixture is quickly driven out of the chamber 1 (i through the channels 21 into the cylinder. There it ignites, burns and drives the working piston 7 downwards.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 4 and 5, the rope piston 11 is enveloped in a spherical shape at the bottom. The cap? 2 placed on the housing has an inside with speaking protrusion? 4. Radral grooves connect narrow openings 21 of the cap '_':
, with the gasification channel 16. The channel 32 for supplying liquid fuel passes through the cap 2 and opens in the middle of the spherical projection 26.
