Description
Mehrstufiger Kreiselverdichter.
Multi-stage centrifugal compressor. As is well known, centrifugal compressors for small amounts of air have to be designed with small wheels in consideration of the efficiency factor, which have to run at high speeds for a certain Vm- initial speed. If several wheels are used in series or connected in parallel, it is often difficult to accommodate them on one shaft, as the latter, with its relatively large diameter, leaves little space for the blades, so that poor air guidance is not good can be expected.
The present invention relates to a centrifugal compressor with several wheels which are distributed on several parallel shafts which are driven by a common gearwheel by means of a pin and the various shafts with the common gearwheel drive being accommodated in a housing. The aim of this arrangement is to keep the bearing distance and thus the shaft diameter of the individual shafts, which have to carry a reduced number of wheels in relation to the number of shafts selected, as small as possible, so that as much space as possible is left for the air inlet opening and the blades of the wheels remains.
This arrangement also enables the use of high speeds by means of gear reduction units for relatively large outputs, as the latter can be distributed over any number of pinions.
Fig. 1 shows such an embodiment with four wheels 1 to 4, two of which are arranged on the shafts 9 and 10. The two shafts are driven by the common gear 13 via the pinions 15 and 16. Centrifugal compressor and gear wheel drive are housed in the common housing 23.
In the present example, the four wheels are connected in series and the wheels located in pairs on a shaft are arranged in such a way that their inlet openings face away from one another. In this way, the wheels can be built as close together as possible, which also allows the use of de Laval waves, the rotating masses of which should lie as possible in one plane; At the same time, the axial thrust of the two wheels is also canceled. Furthermore, the central planes of the two pairs of wheels are axially offset to such an extent that the shaft distance can be made as small as possible for the purpose of compact design.
The wheels of a -ATelle can of course also be connected in parallel with the wheels of the other shafts in series. Fig. 2 shows another embodiment example of the invention. It is an aggregate of two serially connected Krei selverdichtern shown, each of which has the features of the invention. Of the four waves 9 to 12 are two each, namely 9 and 10 respectively. 11 and 12, via pinions 15 to 18 of a common gear wheel a13 respectively. 14 driven, between which a single drive motor 19 is arranged.
The centrifugal compressor to the left of the engine with wheels 1 to .1 is labeled A and the one to the right with wheels 5 to 8 is labeled B. The air path indicated by the arrows shows that centrifugal compressor A is the low-pressure centrifugal compressor and B is the high-pressure centrifugal compressor. After every two wheels, the air is led through intercoolers 20, 21 and 22 ″, which are built into the foundation plates of the two centrifugal compressors A and B.
-As shown, the acid diameter can be reduced according to the decreasing volume and thus the speeds of the various shafts can be increased against the pressure side, so that the best possible efficiency is achieved with the least amount of material.
The two centrifugal compressors A and B are expediently graded in series so that the low-pressure centrifugal compressor A is used for a larger, e.g. B. the next larger type, to the still pressure centrifugal compressor and the high pressure centrifugal compressor B for a smaller one. z. B. the next smaller type, the low-pressure centrifugal compressor.
