Abstract

L'invention concerne des procédés informatiques et des systèmes informatiques associés destinés à concevoir des surfaces (13) optiques réfléchissantes à espace libre pour une utilisation dans des visiocasques (HMDs). La surface optique réfléchissante (13) produit une image virtuelle d'une surface d'affichage (11) pour un visionnement par l'il d'un utilisateur (15). Le procédé consiste à utiliser un ou plusieurs ordinateurs pour: (i) représenter la surface d'affichage (11) par des objets d'affichage (25); (ii) représenter la surface optique réfléchissante à espace libre (13) par des éléments de surface (23); et (iii) calculer de manière itérative des localisations spatiales, des normales, et des rayons de courbure pour les éléments de surface (23) qui vont produire une image virtuelle de chaque objet d'affichage (25) à afficher à l'il (15) d'un utilisateur nominal dans une direction souhaitée commandée par le regard.
