Abstract

Le traitement d'un réacteur pour la polymérisation de l'éthylène en phase gazeuse, en suspension, en solution ou une sous haute pression, facultativement avec des comonomères, avec un gaz comprenant au moins 50 % en volume d'hydrogène à une température supérieure à 185 degrés Celsius pendant une durée allant jusqu'à environ 30 heures réduit tout Fe3 + (par exemple hématite) en Fe2 + (par exemple magnétite). Le Fe3 + est connu pour être un site catalytique pour le dépôt de dépôts à base de carbone. Un traitement pré démarrage réduit l'encrassement dans le réacteur.
