Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de vitrification de déchets contaminés (30) consistant à utiliser un récipient (10) comprenant un revêtement isolant (16), à placer les déchets (30) dans le récipient (10) à revêtement, à soumettre les déchets (30) à un courant électrique pour chauffer et faire fondre les déchets (30), à refroidir les déchets fondus de façon à obtenir une masse vitrifiée solide, et à déposer la masse. La masse est déposée alors qu'elle est à l'intérieur du récipient (10). Le revêtement isolant (16) peut comprendre une ou plusieurs couches de matériau isolant thermique (19), une ou plusieurs couches de matériau réfractaire (18), ou une combinaison des deux.
