Abstract

Existing commercial rental models of products to individuals require the presence of a permanent attendant to perform monitoring and customer service tasks. Description

DESCRIPTIVE MEMORY
The present invention relates to a system and method of operation at distance of one kiosk rental electric carts.
The evolution of our society has allowed the aging of the population, so statistics Canada's last demographic study shows that a Canadian on ten suffers from reduced mobility. The means of assistance for displacement available in places are scarce, unsuitable or non-existent due mainly to to be able to offer this service at a reasonable cost because of the presence of an employee and sometimes two, either necessary to carry out the transactions which makes the costs of operation prohibitive.
In their sectoral studies the administrators of assembly areas public (shopping centers, convention centers, etc.) have identified this slice of population comrile a most important target market and are favorable to any solution that restore autonomy to people with reduced mobility.
My invention will enable the remote service, if any supervision thanks to our computerized management system, a safe cart and a system charging automatic and without apparent electrical contact.
I developed a system and a method of exploitation for carts electric appliances for people with reduced mobility are offered for rent self service without any presence of attendant thus allowing the exploitation sufficiently to make a business viable.
This invention will be easier to understand with a brief description illustrated by several drawings.
Fig.l is an elevation view of the kiosk Fig.2 is a plan view of the kiosk FIG. 3 is a detailed view of the electrically contactless coupling system when the ~
cart is in position.
Fig.4 is a detail view of the coupling system without electrical contact when the cart is approaching.
Fig.S is a block diagram of the components of the system.
Brief description of a system which is an example but does not limit in nothing the invention its application or its use.
fig.l and 2 The kiosk relating to this invention is composed of an interactive terminal (1) ~ for interface with the user, a guide ramp (2) which allows the user to store the cart after use to allow recharging of the on-board accumulators, and many carts (6).

The terminal (1) is connected by modem (13) to the Internet for transmission of data to the central operating unit and contains besides the charger inverter batteries (5), a screen touch (3), a computer (12) and a magnetic card reader (4).
The guide ramp (2) makes it possible to approach the carriages in the load position with for each position a primary coil (10) connected to the inverter (S) of the thick headed.
The carts are equipped with an HF rectifier (19) and coil secondary (9) for allow the recharging of accumulators without electrical contact which ensures the protection of the public and allows charging without manual connection by the user.
A radio link (14 and 15) between the terminal and each of the carts allows the management of the load and communication of faults to the plant.
The coupling system design described below allows for the implementation of charge automatic.
High frequency coupling alignment requires a minimum of precision for allow the required energy transfer to the load while limiting warming up components. Vehicle traction is used in positioning lateral and longitudinal (x, y) when passing through the guides (7) and the mass of the vehicle is used to ensure the pressure contact of the two primary coils and secondary (9,10).
The cart on approach passes through the lateral guides (7a, fig2) to the front is completely abutted in the centralizer (7b, fig2). During this process the front wheel crosses the ascending part of the elevator (8) which will allow the passage of the reel secondary (9) then in extension above the primary coil (10).
wheel before starting the descending part of the elevator (8), the respective faces both coils will come into contact with a sliding motion which will cause the compressing the springs (11) to the load position. This method allows a mechanical contact with compression of the two parts without there being a shock which could break the ferrites that make up the two coils.
Brief description of the method which is an example but does not limit in nothing the invention its application or its use (Fig.S) The user introduces a magnetic card into the reader (4) of the terminal, the computer (12) issues an authorization request to the service provider via the modem (13).
Upon return of the application (approved credit) a code (permissive) will be issued by Radio (14) to the carts then present on the load ramp. Each computer on board (16) available carts having picked up this signal will go on standby until the introduction of the approved card in the reader (17) of one of them, this action will have effect of initiating the time counter for billing purposes and to put Control the cart in operation.
As long as the card is present in this reader (17), during the whole duration of use (present card) the onboard computer (16) will refresh the signal permissive to the control module (18) allowing the operation of the engine.
Returning a cart on the load ramp, the cart code captured by the terminal radio will close the bill of rental costs associated with this customer.
Monitoring and diagnostics The control module (18) receives the analog and digital signals from the sensors:
defects will be transmitted by radio (15) to the terminal computer (12) for transmission via i the Internet link to the central station and the state of charge of the accumulators will be transmitted to the load manager resident in the computer (12).
