Description

AIR DUCT VALVE
Statement of the invention In one aspect the invention allows for valve arrangement comprising:
a first side;
a second side;
a plurality of valves displaceable between an open and a closed position;
valve biassing means for biassing said plurality of valves to the closed position;
said plurality of valves and said vale biassing means being configured and disposed such that a flow of air coming from the first side can displace the plurality of valves from said closed position to said open position and pass through said plurality of vales, and a flow of air coming from the second side will not be able to pass through the valves..

~ This valuing system is to avoid any looping of the air from a AE-Pl.or for any kind of unit attached to the ducts of AH-Fz.
~ The idea or the concept of this system is to let operate a AH-F at any time without having to synchronize it with AE-P.
~ It also permits to install it, in only one hole in the AH-F duct work.
~ Independently of the mechanical, electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic valve, this concept is to minimize impact on the AH-F during operation of the AE-P.
~ This could be also used for pushing or drawing air from a undesired section of the ducts.
1.1 Installation and concept on the return Side of the AH-F
1.1.1 In the case of the AH-F running simultaneously with AE-P.
1- Total air flow from return duct.
2- Valuing mechanism is located in between flow 4 & 5. A portion of the air (4) is drawn in the AE-P (6) from the return duct upstream of the valuing (2) and the air left flows through the valuing mechanism. Then the same or equivalent quantity of air(5) is restored downstream from this valuing system and mixed together(3).
3- Mixing zone for return air (1) and treated air (5).
4- Drawn in air from return duct.
5- Treated air from AE-P.
6- AE-R unit for treating air either by purifying it, adding fresh air from outside, or both.
7- AH-F unit for Heating or conditionning air.
8- Supply air from AH-F.
Note that 9 and 10 can be optionnal in case of a purifier unit only which doesn't interfaces with outside.
9- Exhausting stale air from inside of dwelling.
10- Drawing fresh air from outside.

( 10 ~ AE-P means Air Exhanger and/or Purifier unit.
2 AH-F means Air Handler and/or Furnace.

1.1.2 If the AH-F is operating and AE-P in off mode.
All the air will flow through the valuing system only.
INSIDE OF DWELLING
OUTSIDE OF DWELLING
1.1.3 If the AH-F is at off mode and AE-P operating.
The air will flow through the AE-P (6). The valuing system (2) will prevent any flow to go through it and therefore avoid a closed loop from flow (4) & (5).

1.2 Installation on the SuppIV Slde of the AH-F
FOR THE SUPPLY SIDE THE SAME THREE CASES OF OPERATION WILL BE POSSIBLE
1- In the case of the AH-F running simultaneously with AE-P.
2- If the AH-F is at off mode and AE-P operating..
3- If the AH-F is operating and AE-P in off mode, all the air will flow through the valuing system only Here's an example for the supply side for the case n.1 1.2.1 In the case of the AH-F running simultaneously with AE-P.
1- Total air flow from supply duct.
2- Valuing mechanism is located in between flow 4 & 5. A portion of the air (4) is drawn in the AE-P (6) from the supply duct upstream of the valuing (2) and the air left flows through the valuing mechanism. Then the same or equivalent quantity of air(5) is restored downstream from this valuing system and mixed together(3).
3- Mixing zone for supply air (1) and treated air (5).
4- Drawn in air from supply duct.
5- Treated air from AE-P.
6- AE-P unit for treating air either by purifying it, adding fresh air from outside, or both.

7- AH-F unit for Heating or conditionning air.
8- Return air from AH-F.
Note that 9 and 10 can be optionnal in case of a purifier unit only which doesn't interfaces with outside.
9- Exhausting stale air from inside of dwelling.
10- Drawing fresh air from outside.

1.3 Mechanism used to apply this concept The mechanism valve used to apply it, is adjustable to different sizes of ducts.
