Abstract
The enhanced method of sulphate/polysulphide pulping includes production of highselective polysulphide liquor by oxidation of white liquor using new heterogeneous A, B or C catalysts; wood cooking in produced liquor; pulp washing, separation; its delignification using polysulphide liquor to Kappa number 3 - 8, with further non-chlorine bleaching; spent liquor regeneration;
rectification of TRS sulphides (hydrogen sulphide, methylmercaptan, dimethylsulphide, dimethyldisulphide) and a-pinene, with overheated steam, with their following oxidation in contaminated condensates, gases and vent emissions, with heterogeneous D and C catalyst, to formation of non-volatile water-soluble non-toxic sulphates (Na2SO4), thiosulphates (Na2S2O3) and sulphonates;
direction of decontaminated condensates to pulp or caustic mud washing.
The method allows to increase the yield of qualitative cellulose by 3 - 10%, to reduce release of volatile sulphides and a-pinene at the cooking stage, by 60 - 80%; to reduce power consumption for decontamination from TRS
and a-pinene, by over 10 times. This method excludes secondary emission of acidic gases SO2, NO2, CO2 into the atmosphere, as well as to reduce consumption of wood, water and fuel.
