TITRE
Structure rnodulairc; insonorisante DOMAINE DE L'INVENTION

Modular structure; soundproof FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a sound absorbing modular structure including floating modules. The structure has properties soundproof impact noise; t particularly advantageous compared to systems conventional soundproofing. Rock wool, recycled rubber and cork are preferentially used as sound-absorbing material.
lo PRIOR ART
Sound transmission is a pervasive problem in construction residential and commercial buildings. Although several alternatives exist for counter the transmission of sounds such as those generated by the voice, a radio, a television etc., it is quite different for impact noises such as those generated by walking, a falling object etc. Most soundproofing systems or products presently available on the market have several limitations and do not allow no settle simultaneously all the problems caused by sound transmission, and more especially impact noise.
In the case of materials controlling impact noise, the results obtained are generally mf: diocres, ie, of the order of 40-45 in units of "field impact insulation class "(FIIC), the ailments are very expensive, and their installation requires a lot of time, which results in very high costs with profits often limited.

Des exemples de matériaux de support propices à la présente invention incluent un panneau de contre-plaqué, de copeaux orientés (oriented strand board), de particules agglomérées, de gypse, de papier recyclé tel que -2-Rock wool, which is a derivative of basalt rock from lava of volcano, is a well known product that is used as a thermal insulator for of ducts, kettles or other mechanical equipment operating at high temperature.
This material is also well known as soundproofing, but requires a mode special installation given the rather mixed rigidity of the panels who are manufactured.
There is therefore an important need for a soundproofing product, especially for inexpensive impact and installation noise quick and easy.
lo IN THE DRAWINGS
Figure 1 illustrates a preferred embodiment of this invention, to know a modular panel.
The present invention overcomes the problems present in the different current soundproofing materials and systems, and more particularly in this which concerns impact bn. ~ its. Indeed, a modular structure including floating panels, that is to say, without fastening, ready for installation and easy installation on 2nd place, preferably comprising rock wool as material soundproof, provides excellent soundproofing performance, while reducing significantly the installation costs. Examples of materials from support auspicious to the present invention include a plywood panel, chips oriented (oriented strand board), agglomerated particles, gypsum, paper recycled as
-3-HomasoteTM or FiberockTM, lightweight concrete such as UnipanTM, or even a sheet any metal or alloy.
Another sound-absorbing material of interest is used rubber. Old s tires represent me deaf; advantageous of this material since few expensive and easily accessible. This material also has superior rigidity compared to rock wool.
Referring to Figure 1, which represents a module or panel having a 1 o preferred structure, a layer of sound-absorbing material C is pasted on a panel a support material B. The soundproofing material covers all of the surface of the panel B. Subsequently, a second panel of support material A, identical or different to material B, is attached to the panel of material B so that have a co ~ offset guration as illustrated in Figure 1, so that a assembly or 1 s panel structure: can be easily installed directly on the soundproof surface by inserting a given panel in the panel adjacent to the ground. This configuration allows you to virtually: eliminate any joint that could cause infiltrations unwanted sound.
zo The density and / or thickness of the soundproofing layer can be adjusted in according to soundproofing needs. Typically, in the case of wool rock, the density preferentially varies between 1 and 12 pounds per cubic foot, while the thickness can play between 1 mm and 60 mm, depending on the density. Such a panel allows to get a resistance to FIIC impact noise of at least 50, and even up to 70, while the 2 s conventional soundproofing materials and systems barely reach 45. Any '-4-skilled person will be able to easily determine these characteristics according to the intended use.
The structure of the present invention can be used for both s building construction; s new only for the renovation of buildings already existing. Departure its floating nature, therefore easy to install, as well as its properties soundproof increased, particularly for impact noise, the module used represents a material of choice for residential and commercial construction.
1 o Although the present invention has been described using implementations specific, it is understood that several variations and modifications may piggyback on said implementations, and the present application aims to cover such modifications, uses or adaptations of the present invention according, in general, to principles of the invention and including: any variation of this description which will become known or 15 conventional in the field of activity in which the present invention, and which can apply to the essential elements mentioned above, in agreement with the scope of the following claims.
