Abstract

The present invention relates to a device for changing a flexible roll jacket ofa roll, particularly a deflection adjustment roll. The device has a rolling stand with several parallel guide rods for loading a new roll jacket. A mechanism on the device can receive an old roll jacket while simultaneously supporting a new roll jacket on the guide rods. In this manner, a new roll jacket can be installed without having to first withdraw the device to remove the old roll jacket.
