Abstract

L'invention se rapporte à un procédé pour polir un objet. Dans un mode de réalisation, illustré à la figure 1, ledit procédé consiste à créer une zone de polissage (10) dans un fluide magnétorhéologique (2); à déterminer les caractéristiques du contact entre l'objet et la zone de polissage nécessaires pour polir l'objet (4); à réguler la consistance du fluide (2) dans la zone de polissage (10); à amener l'objet (4) en contact avec la zone de polissage (10) du fluide (2); et à déplacer l'un par rapport à l'autre l'objet (4) et/ou le fluide (2). L'invention décrit également un dispositif de polissage (1). Dans un mode de réalisation, ce dispositif comprend un fluide magnétorhéologique (2), un moyen (6) pour induire un champ magnétique, et un moyen pour déplacer l'un par rapport à l'autre l'objet (4) à polir ou le moyen (6) pour induire un champ magnétique.
