ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE

A wrapper comprising : a base sheet ; a sticking adhesive layer formed on one principal surface of said base sheet ; release paper of the same size as said base sheet and temporarily adhered to said sticking adhesive layer ;
said release paper having a continued cut line formed thereinto such that said cut line is positioned within the periphery thereof and both ends thereof are connected to each other; and said release paper having a part, surrounded with said cut line, for exposing said sticking adhesive layer.

WRAPPER
BACKGROUND OF THE INV~lTION

Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a wrapper, and more particularly, to a wrapper for accommodating and protecting a bill of parcel, a chit, and the li~e or a wrapper suitable f or being used as a label att~ched to goods so as to indi-ca~e items such as the name, brand, ~uantity, lot number, manufactured date, manufacturer's name, price, and explana-tion of the goods.
Descri~tion of the Prior Arts A sticking bag for accommodating and protecting such an article as described above is disclosed in, for example, Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 50-17356. According to the disclosure, a sticking adhesive layer is formed on the lower surface of the stic~lng bag.
An article accommodated in the above sticking bag tends to slip off the ba~ because the bagging portion thereof is not closed.

SUNMARY-OF T~E INVENTI~N
It is therefore the principal object of the present invention to provide a novel wrapper which can form and seal - ` 2~2~

an accommodating portion with a comparati~e ease by sticking it to goods to be delivered.-According to the present invention, a wrapper comprisesa base sheet; a sticking adhesive layer ~ormed on one principal surface of the base sheet; and release paper of the same size as the base sheet and temporarily adhered to the stickin~ adhesive layer. The release paper has a rontinued cut line formed thereinto such that the cut line is positioned within the periphery thereof. The release paper has a portion, surrounded with the cut line, for exposing said sticking adhesive layer.
According to the present invention, the release paper corresponding to a portion positioned outside the cut line can be released from the sticking adhesive layer to expose the sticking adhesive layer. The ~ase sheet is connected with goods with t~e exposed portion of the sticking adhesive layer which adheres to the surface thereaf. As a result, an accommodatin~ portion can be formed ~etween the base sheet and the goods.
An article is accommodated in the accommodating portion formed between the base sheet and the surface o~ the goods.
In addition, the accommodating portion is sealed with t~e base sheet by sticking the exposed portion of the sticking adhesive layer to the goods.

According to a wrapper of the present invention, the accommodating portion can be formed and sealed with a comparative ease only by sticking it to the goods.
These objects and other objects, features, aspects and ad~antages of the present in~ention will become apparent from the following detailed descxiption of the em~odiments of the present invention when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings.

A wrapper ~0 of the embodiment is stuck to goods and suitable for being used as a la~el attached to goods so as to indicate items such as the name, brand, guantity, lot number, manufactured date, manufacturer's na~e, price, and explanation of the goods. The wrapper 10 includes a base sheet 12. The base sheet 12 is made of, for example, heat-sensitive reoording paper. A sticking adhesive layer 14 consisting of an adhesive such as a pressure sensitive adhesive is formed on one principal surface of the base sheet 12. A rectangular release paper ~6 consisting of paper and a synthetic resin sheet is temporarily adhered to :

the surface ~f the sticking adhesive layer 14. The size of the re~ease paper 16 is the same as that of the base sheet 12. ~ release agent layer consisting of a silicon agent such as silicon is ~ormed on one principal surface of the release paper 16.
The release paper 16 has a H-shaped cut line 18 contin-uously formed such that the cut line is positioned within the periphery thereof and both ends thereof are connected to each o~her. Thus, the cut line 18 divides the release paper 16 into an bag accommodating part 16a and a stickin~ part 16b. The area o~ the ~ag accommodating part 16a is smaller ~han that of the base sheet 12. Opposed rectangular conca~e portions 20 and 22 are formed len~thwise from the center of each shorter side of an imaginary rectangle formed by the cut line 18 so that the cut line 18 is ~-shaped in a plan view.
The cut line 18 allows the sticking adhe~ive layer 14 to be exposed ~y releasing the sticking part 16b from the sticklng adhesive layer 14. As a result, the sticking adhesive layer 14 connects the bag accommodating part 16a and the base sheet 12 with each other. Perforations 24 are formed on the ~ase sheet 12. The axea surrounded with the line connecting the perforations 24 is a little smaller than that of the ~ag accommodating part 16a.

~ s shown in Fig. 5, in order to adhere the wrapper 10 to the surface of, for example, goods (A) to be delivered, the sticking part 16b of the release paper 16 is released from the sticking adhesive layer 14. Thus, the sticking adhesive ~ayer 14 is adhered to the surface o~ the goods (A). As a result, a bag accommodating part 26 is formed .. .
between the bag accommodating part L~a and the sur~ace of the goods IA)~ The bag accommodating part 26 accom~odates a rectangular bag 28 containing an article 30, for example, a bill o~ parcel, a chit or the like.
The rectangular bag 28 is stuc~ to the goods (A) with the bag accommodating part 16a contacting with the bag 28 having an opening portian 28a. Each side of the rectangular bag 28 is positioned inside each side of the imaginary rectangle formed by the cut line 18. The bag 28 cons~sts of, for example, a synthetic resin such as a vinyl resin.
The article 30 such as a bill of parcel or a chit is accom-mo~ated in the bag 28 through the opening portion 28a.
The bag 2~ is connected to the base sheet 12 with the sticking adhesive layer 14 corresponding to the concave portions 20 and 22. That is, the concave portions 20 and 22 are formed to expose the sticking adhesive layer 14 and connect the bag 28 to the base sheet 12. ~ore specifically, the bag 28 is connected with the base sheet 12 at the 2~2~2~g predetermined position thereof through the concave portions 20 and 22.
After the bag 28 is adhered to the sticking adhesive layer 14 corresponding to the concave portions 20 and 22, the adhesive layer ~4 corresponding to the sticking part 16b stic~s to the surface of the goods ~A). As a result, the bag accommodating portion 26 can ~e sealed with the base sheet 12. Accordingly, the bag 28 does not slip off the.bag accommodating portion 26. Since the article 30 accommodated in the bag 28 is covered with the base sheet 12 and the bag accommodating part 16a, it is neither soiled nor lost.
Further, the bag 28 consists of a vinyl resin. Therefore, it ser~es as a means for waterproofing the article 30.
In order to take out the article from the bag 28 after the wrapper 10 stic~s to the surface of the goods ~A~, the center portion of the base sheet 12 is torn open along the perforations 24. The area surrounded with the line connect-ing the perforations 24 is sma~ler than that of the imagi-nary rectangle formed by the cut line 18 and greater than that of the :rectangular bag 28. That is, the perforations 24 are formed into the base sheet.12 so that the lines connecting the perforations 24 are positioned outside the periphery of the bag 28 and inside the imaginary rectangle fo~med by the cut line 18. The article.30 to be accommodat-ed in the bag 28 includes flexible sheets, for example, a si~

2~262~8 bill of parcel, a chit, a letter o~ guarantee, a label or the like.

According to the wrapper 10, the base sheet 12 thereof consists of heat-sensitive recording paper, a display such as `'bill of parcel is enclosed", "letter of guarantee is enclosed" or "manual is enclosed" is made on the surface of the ~ase sheet 12 by applyin~ the heat-sensitive recordin~
paper to a thermosensitive printer. As the material of the base sheet 12, the heat-sensitive recording paper may ~e replaced with a synthetic resin such as polypropylene or polyethylene.
Fig. 2 is a schematic illustration showing an example of an apparatus for manufacturing a wrapper according to the embodiment of the present invention.
An apparatus 100 includes a holding roller 102 for holding, for example, a long and narrow release sheet 16 serviny as the release paper 16. The release sheet 16A is unrolled at one end thereof and then guided to a printing or coating device 104.
The printing or coating device 104 comprising rollers 104a, 104b, and 104c applies an adhesive 14a such as pres-., , sure sensitive adhesive to the surface of the release sheet 16A so as to print it thereon. ~he roller 104a is partly immersed in the a~esive 14a contained in a pan not shown. ~;

sandwich the release sheet 16A along the path for transport-ing the release sheet 16A. Accordingly, the adhesive 14a is printed on the surface of the release sheet 6A when they are guided between the rollers 104b and 104c which are rotating.
The release sheet 16A on which the adhesive 14a has been printed is gui~ed to a drier 106 comprising a heater.
The drier 106 dries the adhesive 14a printed on the release sheet ~6A, thus forming an adhesive layer 14b serving as the sticking adhesive layer 14. The release sheet 16A on which the adhesive layer 14b has been formed is guided to a laminating device 108.
Long and narrow heat-sensiti~e recording ~aper 12A
serving as the base sheet 12 is held by a holding roller 110. ~ne end of the heat-sensitive recording paper 12A is unrolled and guided to the laminating device 108.
The materia~ of the release sheet 16A on which the adhesive layer 14b h~s been laminated and the heat-sensitive recording.paper 12A are guided between rollers lO~a and 108b of ~he laminating device 108 so that the heat-sensitive recording paper 12A is laminate~ on the adhesive layer 14b.
The heat-sensitive recording paper 12A is laminated on the adhesive layer 14b by rotating the rollers 108a and 108b.
More specifically, the adhesi.~e layer 14b ser~ing as the sticXing adhesive layer 14 is laminated on the release sheet 2 ~ 2 ~ 2 ~3 ~ ~ :

16A, and the heat-sensitive recording paper 12A serving as the base sheet 12 is laminated on the adhesive layer 14b.
Thereafter, the above laminated material is guided to a cut line ~orming device 112. The cut line forming device 112 comprises a flat die cutter (not shown) havi~g a cutting edge (not shown), the con~iguration of which corresponds to t~at o~ t~e cut line 18 shown in Fig. lA. The cut line 18 is formed into the release sheet 16A by the die cutter.
Instead of the flat die cutter, the cut line forming device 112 may comprise a die roll having a cutting edge.
The laminated material including the release sheet 16A
having the cut line 18 formed thereon is guided to a perfo-ration forming device 114. The per~oration forming de~ice 114 comprises a ~lat die cutter (not s~own) having a rectan-gular cutting edge ~not shown). The area surrounded with the rectangular cutting edge is a little smaller than that of the imaginary rectangle formed by the cut line 18. The die cutter forms the perforations 24 into the heat-sensitive recording paper 12A. Instead of the flat die cutter, the perforation forming device 114 may comprise a die roll having a rectangular cutting edge.
The laminated material is cut into a plurality of sheets by a cutting device 116. Thus, the wrapper 10 is ;~
manufactured.

using the laminated material shown in ~ig. 3.
The laminated material 30 consists of the release sheet 16A, the adhesive layer 14b, ana the heat-sensitive ~ecord-ing paper 12A laminated one on the other-. The adhesive layer 14b serves as the stic~ing adhesive layer 14. The heat-sensiti~e recording paper 12A serves as the base sheet 1~.
An apparatus 150 includes a holding roller 152 ror holding a long and narrow release sheet 16A. The release sheet 16~ is unrolled at one end thereof and guided to a printing or coating device 154.
The printing or coating device 1~4 comprising rallers 154a and 154b applies an adhesive 14a such as pressure sensitive adhesive to the surface of th2 release sheet 16A
so as to print it thereon. The roller 154a is partly immersed in the adhesive 14a contained in a pan not shown.
Accordingly, the adhesive 14a is printed on the surface of ~' ~ ~' ` ` , , ' . .

the release sheet 16A when they are guided between the rollers 154a and 154b which are rotat~ng.
The release sheet 16A on which the adhesive 14a has been printed is g~ided to a drier 156 comprising a heater.
The drier 56 dries the adhesive 14a printed on the release sheet 16A, thus forming an adhesive layer 14b. The release sheet 16A on which the adhesive layer 14b has been formed is guided to a laminating device 1~8.
Long and narrow heat-sensitive recording paper 12A
serving as the base sheet 1~ is held by a holding roller 160. One end of the heat-sensitive recording paper 12A is unrolled and guided to the laminating device 158.
The material of the release sheet 16~ on which the adhesive layer 14~ has been laminated and the heat-sensiti~e recording paper 12A are guided ~etween rollers 158a and 158b o~ the li~minating de~ice 158 so that the heat-sensitive recording paper 12A is laminated on the adhesive layer 14~.
The heat-sensiti~e recording paper 12A is laminated on the adhesive layer 14b by rotating the rollers 158a and 158b.
Thus, the laminated material 30 is manufactured.
The laminated material 30 i5 wound around a winding roller 170.
An apparatus 180 includes a holding roller 182. The laminated material 30 shown in Fig. 3 is wound around the .

h~lding roller 182. one end of the laminated ma~erial 30 is unrolled and then, guided to a cut line forming device 184.
The cut line forming device 184 comprises a flat die cutter ~not shown) having a cutting edge (not shown), the configuration of which corresponds to that of the cut line 18 shown in Fig. ~. The cut line 18 is formed into the release sheet 16A of the laminated material ~0 by the die cutter. Instead of the flat die cutter, the cut line forming device 184 may comprise a die roll having a cutting edge.
Thereafter, the laminated material 30 including the release sheet 16A having the cut line 18 formed thereon is guided to a perforation formin~ device 186. The perforation forming device 114 comprises a flat die cutter (not shown) havin~ a rectangular cutting edge (not shown). The area su~rounded with the rectangular cutting edge is a little smaller than that o~ the imaginary rectangle formed by the cut line 18. The die cutter forms the perforations 24 into the heat-sensitive recording paper 12A. Instead of the flat die cutter, the perforation forming device 186 may comprise - ~:
a die roll having a rectangular cutting edge.
The laminated material is cut into a plurality of sheets by a cutting device 188. Thus, the wrapper 10 is manufactured.

In the above embodiment, the cut line ~8 is formed into the release paper 16 in the shape of H, however, other shapes such as U may be selected as the con~iguration of the cut line 13. In this case, it is required that the area of the imaginary rectangle formed by the cut line 18 is smaller than that of the base sheet 12. It is also necessary that a portion for exposing the sticking adhesive layer 14 is ~ormed inside the imaginary rectangle formed by the cut line 18 so that the bag 28 is fixed to goods when the base sheet ~2 is connected to the goods with the sticking part 16b of the sticking a~hesive layer 14. In the above em~odiment, the wrapper 10 is connected to the bag 28 with the sticking adhesive layer corresponding to the concave portions 20 and 22 by releasing the release paper 16 therefrom. Instead of the concaves 20 and 22, a circular hole may ~e formed in the ~ag accommodating part 16a.
The heat-sensitive recording paper is used as the material of the base sheet 12 in the above embodiment, but fine ~uality paper may be used as the material thereof.
When the fine quality paper is used, a display "bill of parcel i~ enclosed", "letter of guarantee is enclosed" or "manual is enclosed" is made on the sur~ace of the base sheet 12. Tn order to color the display by a thermosensitive printer, it is necessii~ry to form a heat-sen-sitive recording material layer by printing a heat-sensitive 2~2~2~g recording material on the surface of the base sheet 12 using a printing or coating device.
The heat-sensitive recording paper 12A and the release sheet 16A are rolled in the above embodiment, however, separate ones may be used instead. A continued laminated material is cut into a plurality of sheets ~y a cutting device in the above embodiment to obtain the wrapper 10.
But instead, perforations may be formed by a perforation forming device so as to separate wrappers 10 from each other. Needless to say, wrappers lO are ~sed after they are separated from each other.
Although the present invention has been described and illustrated in detail, it is clearly understood that the same is by way of illustration and example only and is not to be taken by way of limitation, the spirit and scope of the present invention ~eing limited only by the terms of the appended claims.

Claims (11)

1. A wrapper comprising :
a base sheet ;
a sticking adhesive layer formed on one principal surface of said base sheet ;
release paper of the same size as said base sheet and temporarily adhered to said sticking adhesive layer ;
said release paper having a continued cut line formed thereinto such that said cut line is positioned within the periphery thereof and both ends thereof are connected to each other; and said release paper having a part, surrounded with said cut line, for exposing said sticking adhesive layer.
2. A wrapper in accordance with claim 1, wherein said cut line is substantially circular.
3. A wrapper in accordance with claim 1, wherein said cut line is H-shaped in a plan view.
4. A wrapper in accordance with claim 3, wherein said cut line is H-shaped in a plan view by forming opposed rectangular concave portions lengthwise from the center of each shorter side of an imaginary rectangle formed by said cut line.
5. A wrapper in accordance with claim 1, wherein the portion positioned outside said cut line formed into said release paper is released to expose said sticking adhesive layer.
6. A wrapper in accordance with claim 1, wherein an accommodating portion is formed inside said cut line formed into said release paper.
7. A wrapper in accordance with claim 1, wherein perforations are formed into said base sheet so that the rectangle formed by connecting said perforations to each other is smaller than that of the rectangle formed by said cut line.
8. A wrapper in accordance with claim 1, which further comprises a wrapper used as a label.
9. A wrapper in accordance with claim 1, wherein said base sheet is made of heat-sensitive recording paper.
10. A wrapper in accordance with claim 1, wherein said sticking adhesvie layer consists of pressure sensitive adhesive.
11. A wrapper in accordance with claim 1, wherein said release paper has a release agent layer formed by applying a release agent such as silicon on the surface thereof.
