79~;t7~;
~ 7 ~ 96 ~ i The invention relates to a locking fitting for a sliding sash window sant, door or the like, having at least a trin ~ 3le of control provided with at least one transverse adjustable locking pin by displacement ~ in a horizontal groove of the rod 5 request.
We already know ~ from GB-A-1 396 876, a ver-rusting of a sliding window, door or the like opening at least one control rod provided with at least one latch bolt beam adjustable transversely by displacement in a horizontal groove 10 the of the control rod. This fitting comprises two derrli-fittings with flanged edges pressed into openings made in the oppo-the vertical upright of the sliding sash. These two half-fittings are held together by screws passing through a half-fitting and screws sées in threaded bosses of the other half-fitting, the head ~ e of these screws 15 being directed towards the interior of the room.
One of the half-fittings has a guide track in which moves the control rod vertically. The back side of it has a projection in which said horizontal groove is formed.
The lower edge of this horizontal groove is provided with a row of 20 teeth meshing with teeth made in the lower edge of the bolt lock. After installation of the latter, the bolt is maintained locking using a fixing screw passing through a slot made in the locking bolt and screwed into a tapped hole in the control rod, the direction of screwing of this fixing screw 25 being contrary to that of the assembly screws of the two half-fittings.
However, the adjustment of the locking bolt of this glass fitting rusting known by this previous document can only be done by dismantling said fitting. ~ n effect, to adjust the positioning of the lock bolt The user is obliged to unscrew the cap screws to remove the 30 half-fitting comprising the control rod, then unscrew the screw fixing, remove the locking bolt from the horizontal groove of the control rod, reposition the locking bolt by engaging it again in the - horizontal groove of the control rod, to screw the fixing screw, then assemble the two half fittings. It is certain 35 that all these maneuvers complicate the adjustment or the exchange of the bolt such locking fittings.
The object of the invention is to design a locking fitting for a -sliding sash comprising means which allow a controlled adjustment continuous and accessible from the edge of the door.
To this end, the invention relates to a fitting for locking an sliding window, door or window, with at least one control rod provided with at least one adjustable locking bolt transversely by displacement in a horizontal groove of 13 trin-control rod, characterized in that it includes a re-sliding interposed between the control rod and the locking bolt comprising an adjustment screw housed in the locking pin and solid daire displacerr ~ ent axial of the latter. '' The invention will be better understood by referring to the following description made by way of nonlimiting example and in the attached drawing ~ in which:
- Figure 1 is an elevational view of the lock lock f ~
to the invention.
- Figure 2 is a sectional view along section line II-II of Figure 3 of the Locking fitting.
- Figure 3 is a sectional view along section line ll ll ll of Figure2 of the locking fitting.
- Figure 4 is a perspective view of the locking bolt provided of the adjustment device according to the invention.
We refer to Figures 1 to 3.
The locking fitting of a sliding window, door or analogous generally consists of two half-fittings 1 arranged on the two sides of the opening. Each half-fitting 1 comprises a plate f xation 2 applied against the sash side, the different elements protruding from the inner face 3 of the fixing plate 2 being housed in the hollow amount of the opening. The two half-fittings 1 are held together by fastening elements such as screw tra-pouring orifices 4 from one of the half-fittings 1 and engaging in threaded bosses protruding from the internal face of the be half-fitting.
However, within the framework of the invention, it is represented and described that the half-fitting 1 comprising the device allowing the trans-versal of the locking bolt '5.' ~
The half fitting 1 comprises a control rod 6 sliding the along the internal face 3 of the fixing plate 2 guided by two walls parallel- 7 ,: 8 integral with said internal- face 3. This control trirlgle ~ 9 ~ '7 ~
of 6 can be. activated. by: llne poi ~ née ~ de maneuver. ~ 9 accessible ~
through a light ~ i0 made in the fixing plate ~ 2 .. A holder.
bolt 11 provides the connection between the locking bolt ~ and the rod control 6, this door ~ p 11 forming an integral part. of the latter 5 and, consequently, "is subject to the same movement of displacement-that of the control rod 6.
In this bolt holder 11, a horizontal groove 12 is made in the which can move transversely the locking pin 5.
It is interposed between the bolt holder 11 and, consequently, 10 '. be the control rod 6 and the locking bolt 5 an adjustment device 1 3.
We also refer to Figure 4.
The adjustment device 13 comprises an adjustment screw 11 ll housed in the p ~ locking 5 and secured in axial displacement of the latter.
According to a first embodiment, it is practiced in the bolt of ver-rusting 5 a housing 15 in which the adjusting screw 1 L is placed. That-ci has the shape of a cylinder ~ externally threaded. The thread of said cy-externally threaded liner cooperates with a threaded hole 16 made in the horizontal groove 12. The depth of the tapped hole 16 corresponds to the ? 0 Width of the bolt holder 11 so that said tapped hole 16 opens onto the two side faces 17, 18 of the bolt holder 11 allowing the establishment of the adjusting screw 14. To actuate the latter, one provides said adjusting screw 14 for gripping means. Advantageously, these means grip are a hexagon hole 19 in which one can engage the ex-25 end 20 of a hexagon wrench 21. According to another embodiment, these gripping means are a slot in the end of the screw adjustment 14 which is directed towards the edge of the opening and in which we engage the end of a screwdriver.
To access the adjustment screw 14, a recess 22 is made.
30 song in the housing 15. According to a first embodiment, this recess ment 22 is. a central recess and it is located in the vertical median plane of the locking bolt 5. This central recess leads to the edge end 23 of the 'locking' bolt 5. It is certain that, in this case, the bolt lock 5 must reside. a certain thickness.
According to a 'second embodiment, the locking pin 5 comprises a recess 24 so that the hooks .25, 26 are offset relative port to the core 27, the recess 22: opening into said recess 24.
79 ~; t7 ~;
~, So, .it is: possible to achieve. continuous adjustment of the glass rusting 5 in function ~ iu not the adjusting screw 14 from the edge of opening it either through ~ through the central recess or through the recess d ~ -plugging in the recess .2 ~ in the c ~ s of a locking bolt 5 with offset hooks .:
However, to avoid inadvertent lateral movement of the latch locking 5, said fitting is given a blocking means.
guiement, c21ui this is 'formed of a locking screw' 28. The free end 29 has a taper: 30 acting on 'one of the edges 31 of the bolt 10 lock 5 to lock the latter against the opposite edge 32 of the horizo'ntale groove 1 ~.
According to Figure 2, the locking screw 28 acts on the edge 31 lower of the locking bolt S to lock it against the opposite edge 32 upper of the horizontal groove 12. However, according to a construction 15 equivalent, the locking screw 28 acts on the upper edge of the bolt lock 5 to lock it against the lower edge of the groove hol izontale 12.
To perfect the cooperation between the conical free end 29 of the screw blocking 28 and the edge 31 of the locking pin 5, it is produced in the 20 bolt holder 11 an inclined tapped hole 33 opening on the side face 18 of said bolt holder 11. As a result, it is also possible to actuate the locking screw 28 from the edge of the opening.
To allow reversibility, we practice in each side face 17, 18 an inclined tapped hole 33, 34.
Although the invention has been described in connection with an embodiment particular, it is understood that it is in no way limited to it and that can make various modifications of shapes, materials and combinations of these various elements, without departing from the framework and the spirit of the invention.
