Locking device as claimed in claim 6, characterised in that the said guide means (29) are formed by a region of over-thickness (39) matched to the depth (31) of the channel (30), produced by superimposing connecting rod sections (36) and cambered rod parts (37) at the place where they join (38).

Locking device as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the operating rod (63) has an opening (27) of which the dimension in the longitudinal direction (64) of the rod (23) is adapted to the corresponding dimension of the body (28) of the main slide bolt (8) in order to permit passage of the said body (28) into the opening (27) and entrainment of the rod (63) by the said body (28) when the main slide bolt (8) is entrained by the control mechanism (65) of the locking fitting (6), and in that the rod (63) further has means (55) to fix at least one non-adjustable auxiliary slide bolt (25), or also has, for each adjustable auxiliary slide bolt (54), a corresponding auxiliary opening (54a) of which the longitudinal dimension is adapted to the corresponding dimension of the body of the said auxiliary slide bolt (54).
  9. Locking device as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the operating rod (23) has at least one rod section (36) connected at each of its ends to an entrainment element (41, 41a) fixedly attached to the main slide bolt (8) or to an auxiliary slide bolt (25, 54).
  10. Locking device as claimed in claim 9, characterised in that each entrainment element (41, 41a) has surfaces (42, 43) adapted to slide respectively along the base (13) of the groove (14) and inner faces (44) of the returns (19), and longitudinal lateral edges (45, 46; 48, 49) adapted to lateral guidance of the said entrainment element (41, 41a) inside the channel (30).
  11.
