Abstract

The said industrial design consists of the shape, configuration and ornamentation of a snowplough having an auger section, a chute section, a track section, an engine section, and a controls area and support structure; the track section has two endless track members one situated on each side of the engine section of the snowplough; each endless track member extends between spaced-apart aligned sprocket members; the outer surface of the endless track members have alternately longer and shorter equally spaced-apart laterally extending raised areas, the longer raised areas extending the width of the endless track members and the shorter raised areas extending centrally part way across the width of the endless track members; the raised areas have beveled front and rear surfaces and a central groove ending along the top surface of the raised area;the auger section has an auger portion extending within a curved outer housing having generally flat and vertically extending side surfaces with a curved member adjacent each side surface and projecting outwards and downwards beyond the adjacent side surface; the rear inner surface of the curved outer housing has a central generally circular opening therein; a pair of skid plate sections extends downwards from the lower portion of the outer housing adjacent the side surfaces of the outer housing; each skid plate section has a rearwardly and downwardly sloped upper surface, generally flat side surfaces, and a generally flat lower surface having upwardly and outwardly bent ends; a generally cylindrical section extends rearwards from the central circular opening in the rear surface of the outer housing;the upwardly extending chute section merges into the rear side surface of the generally cylindrical section and has a flange portion adjacent the lower end thereof; the chute section has flat side surfaces, slightly curved rear surface sections, and an open front area; the engine section has an outer housing which extends around the engine section and has generally flat side surfaces, generally flat front and rear surfaces, a top surface, and rounded corners; the top surface of the outer housing merges into a generally rectangular muffler area and a generally rectangular gas tank area having an upper surface with acentral recessed area therein; the recessed area has a flat inner surface and a gas tank cap adjacent the curved inner end of the recessed area; a work light extends upwards from the top surface of the outer housing adjacent the front surface thereof, the work light having a generally rectangular front surface with rounded corners;the controls area and support structure is spaced apart from the rear surface of the outer housing of the engine section and has a lower, laterally extending box-like structure having flat rear, side and top walls; the controls area has a downwardly and forwardly extending generally flat upper surface, generally flat side surfaces, a generally flat upper front surface which extends downwards and then bend forwards toward the rear surface of the outer housing of the engine section; the generally flat upper surface has a narrow raised area adjacent the right side thereof with a curved upper surface which merges into the upper surface of the controls area; the controls area has a narrow rear wall having a pair of spaced-apart generally cylindrical handles situated close to opposite ends thereof and extending rearwards from the rear wall.Representations of the design are shown in the figures wherein:Fig. 1 is a right side elevation view of the design of the snowplough;Fig. 2 is a left side elevation view thereof;Fig. 3 is a top plan view thereof;Fig. 4 is a front elevation view thereof;Fig. 5 is a rear elevation view thereof;Fig. 6 is a front perspective view from the right and above of the design of the snowplough; andFig. 7 is a rear perspective view from the left and above of the design of the snowplough.Diagrams of the design are included.
