Patente de Invenção: <B>''MéTODO E SISTEMA PARA ESTABELECIMENTO DE CHAMADA APERFEIçOADO''<D>. São descritos um método e um sistema para usar sinalização de TCAP para melhorar o estabelecimento de chamada a partir de um ponto de comutação virtual (46). De acordo com o método, a sinalização de TCAP é usada para melhorar o estabelecimento de chamada a partir de pontos de comutação virtuais que recebem mensagens de solicitação de chamada a partir de assinantes chamadores usando uma instalação em uma rede de dados (34), tal como a Internet. A sinalização de TCAP é usada quando for necessária para determinar a disponibilidade do telefone de assinante chamado (26). O sistema inclui um Ponto de Comutação Virtual (VSP) em uma rede telefónica comutada (10) que possui uma conexão com uma rede de dados, tal como a Internet. Solicitações de chamada são recebidas pelo VSP a partir da rede de dados, e são processadas pelo VSP para estabelecer uma ligação de voz entre o assinante chamador (30) que inicia a solicitação de chamada e um número de assinante chamado indicado na mensagem de solicitação de chamada. O emprego de sinalização de TCAP a partir do VSP para Pontos de Comutação (SP) que servem o assinante chamador e/ou o assinante chamado melhora a eficiência e minimiza a sinalização de canal comum. O VSP habilitado com sinalização de TCAP pode também ser usado como um discador externo eficiente para um centro de chamada (70). A vantagem é a capacidade de oferecer mais opções de chamada, ao mesmo tempo melhorando o rendimento de uso de rede.
