Os primeiros e segundos segmentos possuem composições diferentes, pelo que a película unitária inclui segmentos distintos com propriedades físicas variadas, tais como, por exemplo, níveis variados de razões de transmissão de vapor água altas e/ou elasticidade. As películas unitárias e seus laminados são bem apropriadas ao uso como revestimentos externos em artigos para cuidado pessoal e vários outros artigos de barreira.
