<B>"MéTODO E PROCESSO PARA PREPARAçãO DE CITALOPRAM; INTERMEDIáRIO PARA TAL PREPARAçãO E SUA COMPOSIçãO FARMACêUTICA ANTIDEPRESSIVA"<D> Método para preparação de citalopram compreendendo as etapas de reagir um composto de Fórmula (IV) onde R^1 ^ é C~1-6 ~ alcil e X é O ou NH, sucessivamente com um reagente de Grignard de 4-halogênio-fluorofenil e um reagente de Grignard de 3-halogênio-N,N-dimetil-propilamina, respectivamente, efetuando o fechamento em anel do composto resultante de Fórmula (V), onde R^ 1^ e X são conforme o definido acima, e convertendo o composto 1,3-diidroisobenzofurano resultante no derivado de 5-ciano correspondente, ou seja, citalopram.
