Abstract

MÉTODO PARA FABRICAR UMA PRÓTESE ÓSSEA SINTÉTICA. Trata-se de um suporte de tecido bioativo que é fabricado a partir de fibra de vidro que forma uma matriz porosa tridimensional rígida que tem uma composição bioativa. A porosidade na forma de espaço de poro interconectado é fornecida pelo espaço de poro entre uma fibra de vidro na matriz porosa. As propriedades mecânicas como resistência, módulo de elasticidade, e distribuição de tamanho de poro são fornecidas pela matriz tridimensional que é formada por fibras emaranhadas e sobrepostas ligadas. O suporte de tecido bioativo pode ser formado a partir de matérias-primas que não são bioativas, mas, ao invés disso, precursores para materiais bioativos. O suporte de tecido bioativo suporta o crescimento interno de tecido para fornecer osteocondutividade como um suporte de tecido reabsorvível, usado para o reparo de tecido ósseo danificado e/ou doente.
