Abstract
método para proteger as supérfícies de prata e de ligas de prata contra o escurecimento. método para proteger as superfícies de prata e de ligas prata contra o escurecimento, caractericado por: submeter inicialmente a superfície a ser tratada a um pré- tratamento em solventes orgânicos, imergir a superfície dessa forma limpa, numa solução acida capaz de assegurar a formação de uma camada delgada de óxido de prata, imergir a superfície assim oxidada numa solução de pelo menos um tiol de fórmula ch~ 3~ (ch~ 2~) ~ n~sh onde n é entre 10 e 16, reagir quimicamente as moléculas do referido tiol com a superfície de prata previamente oxidada, em um ambiente contendo vapor d'agua numa temperatura de pelo menos 50 <198>c.
