Abstract
"FORNO DE INDUçãO PARA OPERAçãO EM ALTAS TEMPERATURAS". Um forno de indução capaz de operação em temperaturas superiores a 3.100<198>C tem uma montagem (60) de esfriamento, a qual é montada seletivamente em uma extremidade superior da parede (76) do forno. A montagem de esfriamento inclui um domo (62), o qual é esfriado ativamente pelas serpentinas (68) de água de esfriamento. Durante a parte de esfriamento de um curso de operação do forno, o esfriamento inicialmente ocorre naturalmente, mediante condução de calor para fora da zona quente através de uma camada (58) isolante do forno. Quando a temperatura dentro da zona quente (20) do forno atingir aproximadamente 1.500<198>C, um mecanismo (80) de levantamento, montado no domo, levanta ligeiramente a cobertura (16) do forno, permitindo que gases quentes a partir da zona quente se misturem com o gás mais frio no domo. Isso acelera o esfriamento da zona quente, reduzindo significativamente os tempos de esfriamento, sem a necessidade de atravancar o próprio forno com válvulas ou outros mecanismos complexos de esfriamento os quais têm que ser substituídos periodicamente. Adicionalmente, discos (154) de verificação colocados dentro do susceptor, proporcionam um perfil exato da temperatura da zona quente.
