Abstract

"AçO DE BAIXA LIGA". A presente invenção refere-se a um aço de baixa liga, caracterizado por consistir em, % em massa, C: 0,2-0,55%, Si: 0,05-0,5%, Mn: 0,1-1%, S: 0,0005-0,01%, O (Oxigênio): 0,0010-0,01%, AI: 0,005-0,05%, Ca: 0,0003-0,007%, Ti: 0,005-0,05%, Cr: 0,1-1,5%, Mo: 0,1-1% e Nb: 0,0050,1%, e Fe e impurezas como balanço; e também caracterizado pelas impurezas cujos teores restringem-se a P <sym> 0,03% e N <sym> 0,015%; e adicionalmente caracterizado por conter compósitos de inclusões não maiores que 7 <109>m no eixo principal com uma freq³ência de aparecimento não menor que 10 pedaços de compósitos por 0,1 mm^ 2^ da seção transversal do aço, onde o compósito compreende uma casca externa de carbonitreto de Ti e/ou Nb que circunda um núcleo de oxissulfeto de Al e Ca. O aço de baixa liga suprime corrosão por pite causada por inclusões e suprime SSC induzida por corrosão por pite.
