Abstract

"REDUçãO METALOTéRMICA DE óXIDOS DE METAL REFRATáRIO". A invenção refere-se a metais refratários de alta pureza, metais de válvula, óxidos de metais refratários, óxidos de metais de válvula, ou ligas dos mesmos adequados para uma variedade de usos de peças de produtos/fabricados elétricos, ópticos e moídos que são produzidas de seus respectivos óxidos através de redução metalotérmica de uma forma sólida ou líquida desse óxido (18) usando um agente de redução que estabelece (após ignição) uma reação altamente exotérmica, a reação ocorre preferencialmente em um óxido móvel contínua ou gradualmente em etapas tal como queda de gravidade (24) com metal recuperável no fundo (30) e um óxido do agente de redução sendo removível como um gás ou em outra forma conveniente e a derivados de agente de redução não-reagidos que são removíveis através de lixiviação ou processo similar.
