Abstract

"SISTEMA DE FEIXE DE ìONS PARA IRRADIAR TECIDOS DE TUMORES". A invenção refere-se a um sistema de feixe de íons para irradiar tecidos de tumores em vários ângulos de irradiação em relação a um leito do paciente disposto horizontalmente e a um método de executar as irradiações, em que o leito do paciente tem um aparelho para rotação ao redor de um eixo geométrico vertical e o sistema de feixe de íons tem pelo menos um dos seguintes sistemas de irradiação: um primeiro sistema de irradiação que tem um sistema de escaneamento assimétrico de localização fixa, o qual tem uma região de deflexão de feixe de íons central para ângulos de deflexão de até <sym> 150 com respeito à direção horizontal e torna possível o escaneamento de um volume de tumor na região de deflexão de feixe de íons central, e o qual tem um dispositivo de elevação adicional para o leito do paciente; um segundo sistema de irradiação, o qual tem um aparelho de deflexão de feixe de íons para um ângulo de deflexão maior do que o primeiro sistema de irradiação e uma unidade de escaneamento simétrica para escanear o volume de tumor, cuja unidade de escaneamento está disposta a jusante do aparelho de deflexão de feixe de íons e está disposta para articular sincronizadamente com o ângulo de deflexão do aparelho de deflexão de feixe de íons.
