Abstract

"MéTODO PARA NOVO REVESTIMENTO DE UM VASO". Trata-se de um método para reformar um vaso que é usado para conduzir um processo de fusão direta, que produz metal fundido sob condições que requerem temperaturas do banho fundido de pelo menos 1.000 C, vaso esse que tem um piso com revestimento refratário, uma parede lateral pelo menos parcialmente revestida com refratário e uma parede de topo, e pelo menos duas aberturas de acesso ao interior do vaso, por meio das quais após o encerramento da operação do processo de fusão direta, o método de reforma inclui as etapas de resfriar o vaso, obter acesso ao interior do vaso pelas aberturas de acesso, revestir novamente o vaso, e reiniciar a operação do processo em um período de 21 dias ou menos.
