Abstract

"VIDRAçA, MéTODO DE TêMPERA DE UMA VIDRAçA, VIDRO DE SìLICA-CAL-SODA E PAINEL DE VIDRO DE SìLICA-CAL-SODA". Vidraça, temperada termicamente em padrões requeridos, são produzidas mais prontamente pela têmpera de vidraças tendo um alto coeficiente de dilatação térmica (maior do que 93 x 10^ 7^ por grau Centígrado) e uma baixa Dureza de Fratura (menos do que 0,72 MPam^ 1/2^). O uso de vidros selecionados de acordo com a invenção permite com que vidraças delgadas (especialmente vidraças de menos do que 3 mm de espessura) sejam temperadas em padrão automotivo com rendimentos aperfeiçoados usando métodos de têmpera convencionais, e que vidraças mais espessas sejam temperadas em pressão de resfriamento rápido, mais baixa do que a até agora requerida. Vidros adequados incluem vidros, que compreendem, em percentuais em peso, 64 a 75%, de SiO~ 2~, 0 a 5% de Al~ 2~O~ 3~, 0 a 5% de B~ 2~O~ 3~, 9 a 16% de óxido de metal alcalino terroso, outro que MgO, 0 a 2% de MgO, 15 a 18% de óxido de metal alcalino terroso e, pelo menos, 0,05% de ferro total (calculado como Fe~ 2~O~ 3~).
