Abstract

"PROCESSO HìBRIDO QUìMICO E BIOLóGICO DE DESCONTAMINAçãO DE LAMAS DE PURIFICAçãO MUNICIPAIS". A presente invenção refere-se a um processo híbrido químico e biológico de descontaminação das lamas de purificação contendo metais pesados e microorganismos patogênicos, compreendendo as seguintes etapas: mistura das lamas com uma solução lixiviante ácida para acidificar as lamas com um pH suficientemente baixo para solubilizar a maior parte dos metais pesados e destruir a maioria dos microorganismos patogênicos, mas suficientemente alto para minimizar a solubilização dos elementos fertilizantes; manutenção de um potencial de óxido-redução superior a +400 mV; separação líquido-sólido para dar uma fração sólida compreendendo lamas ácidas descontaminadas, e uma fração líquida compreendendo os metais pesados dissolvidos na solução lixiviante; neutralização das lamas; e recuperação das lamas descontaminadas neutralizadas cujo conteúdo em elementos fertilizantes, tais como o carbono, o nitrogênio e o fósforo, permaneceu substancialmente inalterado em relação às lamas inicialmente contaminadas.
